His movement with the puck immediately reminds you of Hughes. It would be a grand slam if he rounds out his entire game like Quinn, but even if he just resembles him with the puck only, that's a win too.
Quinn was my pick that year. Hutson looks like he can be the same player. No exaggeration. I've watched him 4 times now in person. I cannot believe some of the shit he pulls off. I never know what he's going to do. It's remarkable. #1pp time and the Calder is his. We'll be having Norris discussions about him soon enough. He is our best player. Full stop.

Generally the most active threads are the ones where there is a disagreement among fans. There really isn't anything to debate about Hutson he's great and everyone agrees he's great.
He’s better than Doug Harvey.

There, that oughta get the thread going.

Hey, you wanna still it up? Go on the main board & state he’s better than Borja Salming, lol.

We are dating ourselves quite a bit, lol. My grandfather was Harvey’s #1 fan and always proclaiming DH was the best player he ever watched?
Cheers

When I think of how Lane Hutson is being used the thought of "setting him up for failure" comes to mind.

You must know him better than management does.

I mean, Quinn Hughes totally broke down from being used on the first pairing in his first season, finishing 2nd after Edler for TOI. Poor kid is totally finished now.

Not every player is a Kotkaniemi.

In my opinion the only to set a top 6 or top 4 skilled player up for failure is by losing faith in him and running him under the bus and yo-yo-ing him between the NHL and the AHL until he needs to be waived and another team claims him.

As long as they are patient and communicate with the kid i don't see any issues. They might have to send him back to the AHL if he keeps struggling defensively but as long as they explain him why i don't see any problem with it.

I know you're joking but just in case someone reads this and be like right? right? Mete was a 4th round pick who never dominated anywhere (junior, AHL) outside of his very last junior season.
LOL
But you have to admit he was hyped for his offensive flair.
