I've been reading the 'he just skates around the perimeter' takes and I can tell they haven't seen him play. Even without generating points, he consistently finds an open man who gets a shot on goal. He's making a tangible difference in possession AND chances, no doubt.

For some reason, I still don't think of Hutson as a Hab. I think of him as this top prospect that may be with us one day. Probably because I haven't been able to watch much. But it sounds like he's a real cornerstone of the franchise already.

I think you can count on that wall.

Hes playing against men with at least twice the grind of a season compared to anything he's ever experienced before.

It's bound to catch up with him this year, but even beyond that horizon, I'm really curious how he handles the physicality and rigors of an NHL season over the long haul.

His movement with the puck immediately reminds you of Hughes. It would be a grand slam if he rounds out his entire game like Quinn, but even if he just resembles him with the puck only, that's a win too.

Not even just the one timer , Just some solid shots on net , screw the cross crease tap in our guys think they are kucherov out there. Slaf is great at it and so is Dach but they need to shoot!! Maybe someone should listen to MSL media scrum more often. He talked about it when the media brought up why the team always sucks in their 2e period last week. MLS said it was a game energy management issue they were working on.

There's a good part in the latest Basu&Godin podcast where they highlight a play where Hutson effectively forced the top line to change by retreating back to his zone while they were running routes to go back in.
