The Bell center fans need to chill about that one. We don't want Hutson to think he has to do something spectacular every time he touches the puck just to impress the fans. His game is flashy enough as is, I just want him to play his game and no worry about what WE think.

His confidence in his abilities is what made his transition seamless imo. Look, I'm not saying the crowd 100% will affect him negatively, but just looking at it from a psychological standpoint, is there a possibility that having 21k people cheering just because the puck is on the stick of a 20 y.o might have an effect his decision making? I'd say there's a possibility, that's all

Even if it influences his decision-making, it's still one of the lessons he has to learn and cope with. All part of development.

I don't think you understand what I'm saying. I'm not saying, "don't cheer for Hutson". What I'm saying is "Let's not put unnecessary pressure on him to impress the FANS in attendance every time he touches the puck by juicing him up to do something flashy."

No we need good management and coaches who sit with the kid and explain to him he doesn't have to do anything special when fans cheer for him. We must not let the kid figure it out by themselves.

Absolutely 100% agreeing with you. And since we don't have elite goaltending, this is a big need we have to adress.

Late in the game, he got some great opportunities to shoot and would instead try other things, because he clearly isn't confident he can score this way.

He will. MSL doesn't understand game management and will overuse Hutson until he cracks.

Exactly. Overusing Hutson at this stage of his carreer is indecent and dangerous for him. Time for Hughes to put his pants on and send down Xhekaj to Laval, Barron on trade block, and recall Lindstrom and Mailloux. + Struble in the lineup of course.

MSL would need some time in the AHL himself…….
