Everything about him is so god damn electric. In his fifth NHL game he was already the best Hab on ice. And he didn't even play with PP1 or best offensive players. Instead he made third line players around him better. Whenever Lane has the puck, something is about to happen. Like he knows there will be a passing line, and if it's not there, he'll dangle, shake and bake until someone is open. How can someone play so smoothly, without any hesitation, as if he had been doing this for years. Sure, we've all seen his Boston University tape but this is NHL with the best professional hockey players and Hutson skates around them like he was still playing with college kids. For a tiny guy he's actually quite pesky defender who's not afraid of contact. Not just a offensive quarteback who is a major liability in his own zone.

Hutson deserve to be on the first wave of pp above the 5 players not just Matheson.

I like to think that this particular Tkachuk clip was him trying to poke Hutson by imitating him in a deragotary way (as he has done before with other players, trying to get under their skin), leading to Hutson getting the last laugh on the Newhook goal

I think the hype isn't that high.

He have 100% the skillset of Quinn Hughes. Except, maybe speed of skating, but the rest?!?! I'm pretty sure, yeah!!

He is a hard worker aswell with great attitude. He want to make the difference and make his teammates better!

I think about 3 more games of pp1 not performing, and Hutson will be used there.

Pp2 doesn't have much talent and Hutson is the main reason why they are performing well, so imagine what Hutson could do with the talent that pp1 has.

To have a balance, that first wave would need to be as good or better than the 2nd wave...which right now the results dont say the same

We can balance lines...but Hutson is on the 1st as he's the most dynamic player...better than Suzuki, Caufield and all the rest.

It's like using McDavid on the 2nd wave....
