I feel bad for the people flying out potentially to Melbourne to watch the Kings play a nothing game lol. Especially against the Yotes. Think it’d be much more interesting for the Kings to have some exhibition matches against the Oilers/Flames/Knights. No one cares about the Coyotes.
I would LOVE to be one of those people. I wish I could. I'd take a 2-3 week vacation in Australia (and probably visit NZ, too), and get to watch some hockey - because I love hockey. It'd be awesome.

They signed a contract with Bally's for the broadcasts. 63 games on Bally's and nine on KCAL - 9. Rest are national games.

Pretty disappointed. I'm a psycho that just bought a new place last month and the HOA includes Spectrum. Looks like they don't carry Bally's so I'm still in the same boat of doing the ESPN + VPN trick.

At least they ditched "DAGGER!" because the contract with Sinclair ended just so they could sign back up with them. That's kind of amusing.

My wife and I are about to buy a house, too. Wild times out there.

Was Jacob Doty injured last year or was he just healthy scratched for 90% of the season.

Saw he was joining the Kings to Australia which seems weird.

Doty was injured.

Why is it weird? The Kings are soft as shit and he’s top 3 toughest in the AHL. Not sure if you watched last pre season but he made a statement.

Coyotes are tough - they have Josh Brown, Lawson Crowse and Liam O’Brien. Plus, Matt Dumba is always good for a cheap hit or two.

We don’t want any of the top line players fighting (Kempe or PLD) or any of the young smaller players like Spence or Clarke getting run.

This. Plus the added preseason game factor

I mean yes - but.. what about the rest of the season.

We're going to have him play one of these games and then forever in the AHL?

Oh yes I see what ur saying. I hope he gets look with the Kings but he’s on an AHL only deal. He would have to sign an NHL deal.
Yup. Him playing one of these exhibition games does nothing for us in the long run.

All we got is a punching bag named Englund on the back end who might not even make the team.

Wouldn't call Englund a punching bag - he did well in some fights last year.

Unlike McEwen, who got his jaw broken, then healed and then got rag dolled by Hague and didn't throw one punch.

Would this be any different if it were Nashville or NYR in Melbourne ? Its a cool idea playing outdoors in Australia no matter who they play. The guys get to train in a totally new environment then enjoy the place when they're not.

I'm now on Sling, so no go for any of those. Hopefully someone who knows about this will pin a thread on the various ways to watch them.

I just don’t think I could justify a gimmick even if it was a neat idea. I’d save that money and buy tickets for a rivalry game against an interesting team in the 100s rather than fly out for an expensive price for a friendly match.

Spectrum basic doesn't carry Ballys. I had to get the Silver plan for it.

That trade still makes no sense at all.....only thing I can figure is Lemieux must have not been good in the clubhouse or had some off ice issues the kings wanted to part of.

then give him the Avery treatment and just send him away. Why pay a pick to bring in someone shit to rid of Lemieux?
Very happy Lemieux is no longer on the team.
