What would it take from the Canucks, with Hoglander included, for Helge Grans?

Any interest in Jack Rathbone? Offensive minded LHD. Redundant in the Canucks' system with all of the PMD, but could be a good add to the Kings' long term defensive situation.

dont think the kings are in the rush to move grans after just trading away faber. hoglander isn't the main piece they'd want even if they even were moving him.

fair points for sure. Did we ever determine if Iafallo was injured? His play was brutal and if Tmac was playing an injured Iafallo over any healthy body would be a baffling move.
Could be wrong but I thought it was reported he was one of the guys with a separated shoulder

Bro I swear those four shoulder injuries Blake was talking about was all from Kassian annihilating all the players

Jack Rathbone has injury issues and small

Kings have more than enough prospects of Hoglander level.

Kings needs size on D and Helge Grans is only one D prospect with size.

The answer is no

I would take the Hoglander. He’s a Swede and kind of a pest. Just no idea where he’d fit.

I was really high on Hoglander as a prospect and would love him here long term but on a team that 'can't find spots' for blue chip forwards he'd just get lost in the shuffle.

I absolutely LOVE his willingness to play in traffic in the slot and his general pain-in-the-ass-ness, basically Swedish Garland.

so what are durzi and anderson waiting for. checked to see if their arbitration was today, theyre not even eligible

Looks like a negotiation standoff for now. Knowing Durzi he'll tells his agent to hold out for the money he wants.. Ando wont make any waves

I’m sure they’re negotiating for a fair offer, but they have little to no bargaining position. Would you sign the qualifying offer if you knew you were worth twice the offer? Maybe they’re hoping for an offer sheet from another team, but that’s not gonna happen anytime soon. Sucks for them.

What do you mean? Do you know them personally or this just dumb speculation?

Negotiations.

There are many times when one side waits to hear from another. Maybe the Kings want to make a trade to free up cap space.

I would still be shocked if Anderson accepted less than $3 million, considering he's been a top pairing LD for multiple seasons. Might not get much more, given his low offensive production, but the Kings don't have much room.

Durzi has a small sample size, but so far looks like he should get ~$2 million.

Ultimately, though, it's only a concern if they aren't signed by training camp. The more they miss time as an unsigned player (I avoid the term "hold out"), the higher risk they run of injury and being out of practice due to missing training camp days.

No way Durzi should get $2M

Durzi, in his rookie year, scored 27 points in 64 games. That's .42 points/game. These are the other defensemen who put up those numbers:
Oliver Kylington: $2.5 just signed last week as an RFA)
Adam Boqvist: $2.6 (RFA)

Chris Wideman: $0.75 (UFA)
Mike Matheson: Just signed as a UFA for $4.785
Samuel Girard: $5 million (signed as an RFA)
Heinola: $0.833 (ELC)

Alex Goligoski: $2 million (UFA)
Nate Schmidt: $5.95 (UFA)

The bolded are the ones which need to be taken into consideration, because RFAs get compared to other RFAs and they use comps.

The only one who is getting less than $2 million is Heinola, who is still on his ELC.

I'm not saying offensive numbers are the only drivers, but these are the types of comparisons Durzi's camp could use.

What comps are you using and why?

Don't forget Durzi's agent is Allan Walsh.

While I think it's all a nothingburger right now I guess you can't discount shenanigans by wannabe Scott Boras.

Jay Grossman represents Mikey and his brother and mostly low-leverage clients and doesn't seem to have a history of nearly the same sort of delays. His firm used to have huge clients in Rinne, Leetch, Zhamnov and other Russians including Kovy and the Radulovs but they seem to have fallen off hard in recent years especially after a 2004 conflict. Yes, he was the Kovalchuk saga agent.

For both Durzi and Anderson, it will depend on term. I can see 2x2 easy for Durzi, quick bridge, good for player and team. I could see Mikey getting more on longer term too, as they've been big on him since draft day, like 3x4. Doubt either guy wants a cheap one year deal at this point. I doubt negotiations are contentious but there's a large spectrum of results that will take time.

Walsh: Durzi 5 mil...
Blake: He's played 64 games...
Walsh: you're paying for his future
Blake: I hate dealing with you...

Can you please tell how many points was scored on Kings, because of Durzi horrible defensive play?

I would trade Durzi for good return…
