Jesus Christ guys, this has been discussed a million times. I think Cyclone22 explained it very well above. Now that Brown is out, we probably see a bigger role for Grundstom this next year.

Yes....but debating whether increased usage of Grundstrom would have A)helped his career growth as NHL player and subsequently B)Meant more Wins for the team is something that shouldn't be off the table in terms of discussion. Are you in charge of what is and isnt discussable? and if you dont want to read about it- you always have the option of moving on and paying no mind entirely. Crazy but true....making no comment of items that are of no interest to you is an option that is 100% on the table.

Ok, so we are debating that a team who ended up with 99 points, about 15 more than any 'expert' out there predicted them to have, could have potentially challenged for the Presidents Trophy if they utilized Grundstrom better? How many more wins are you expecting?

Why don't we debate over sexier things like had the Kings had Doughty and Arvidsson for the playoffs, they surely would have ended up in the SCF...

If Lemieux and Grundstrom are in the lineup at the same time (which I would like), then one of the kids has to sit.

Yea i loved how he played most of the year but after his injury he wasnt very good. He didnt play so tough in the playoffs either.
Maybe he was rushed back before being fully healthy.
If that’s the case then that’s shitty management since he did get benched a couple of games and had his icetime cut even after he scored.

Regardless a pest is pointless when you have an ape like Kassian who can beat the shit out of you and hits like a truck.

Funnily enough I think about the Kings through the scope of “can they beat the oilers”

With Fiala, healthy Arvidsson, and some positive steps from Byfield Kaliyev and Kupari they should be able to beat the Oilers. The defense held em in game 7 but they need to score goals. Kassian is no longer there.
The Kings are going to be really good this season.

fair points for sure. Did we ever determine if Iafallo was injured? His play was brutal and if Tmac was playing an injured Iafallo over any healthy body would be a baffling move.
He had 4 points in the series -- who exactly are you comparing him to?

Grundstrom was better than Brown over the two prior seasons as well.
Let's not get carried away.

I always feel it is safe to assume that most players are playing through something come playoffs. Hard to tell a guy who is a good top 9 winger that is above average defensively not to play when they say they are good to go. I know that is speculating on my part, but the injury is speculation to begin with.

Missing a healthy Drew in there too

I thought there was some mention of multiple players with shoulder injuries, but nobody was specifically named? I think the speculation stems that his one plus quality is winning pucks and suddenly that stopped happening in conjunction with the scoring drought.

In the end of season media availability Rob Blake said that four players had shoulder injuries.

Sean Durzi had off-season shoulder surgery, so that's one.

Alex Iafallo when asked if he needed anything "cleaned up" regarding his health in the off-season responded...

"Just rest. Shoulder and stuff."

If there's more confirmation than that I don't know where you can find it but at this point it is treated as common knowledge that Iafallo was one of the four players.

At first I though they were slow dancing and then I realized that no….this is a hand job.
I kind of cracked up at first like wtf is going on and then I was like well there are a lot of kids on this site. Checked it on my phone too and sure enough it’s on both.
