That Kaliyev article is so damning. The misuse of the player, the devaluation, etc. It’s like someone here wrote it.
awful headline, amateur hour misleading bs. I don't like Todd and I do like Kaliyev but that's a non-story and a willful misinterpretation by a hack writer
Least surprising bit of news. Todd’s going to run Kaliyev out of town.
Sounds like alot of what ive written about arty. Im so biased about this unfortunate guy ive quit posting about his sorry situation. That Kaliyev article is so damning. The misuse of the player, the devaluation, etc. It’s like someone here wrote it.
Ah yes. I can’t wait to hear all the claims that wellll, ackshually Kaliyev was never going to sign here for less than x million so Blake had no choice but to move him now and get something for him.

i think that's a BIT unfair as far as attacking austin's work but i do also think it's a little unfair to make a story out of dreger's ramblingsawful headline, amateur hour misleading bs. I don't like Todd and I do like Kaliyev but that's a non-story and a willful misinterpretation by a hack writer
Why dont you make him prove his assertion firstHoping for some help on this. Andrew Knoll decided to tweet out an assertion that Faber wasn't willing to sign with LA. I told him it's not true. And he's now asking where Faber addressed this.
Offhand, anyone remember the source(s)? My memory's shot and my Googling sucks
This is why you fire the GM before he can make another Parrish/Sopel or Bishop trade.
In theory this should be the role that Robitaille is doing as President, as a hockey guy safety net to an incompetent GM destroying the team. But since Blake is his crony we know this will never happen, especially since Luc's job could also be tied to making the playoffs.
Kaliyev will go somewhere else, be put into a situation where his positives are utilized and his negatives aren't the only thing a team/coach sees and while he may not be the star 40G guy we hoped, he will find a role in someones top 9.
A) I'm pettyWhy dont you make him prove his assertion first
isn't it just lovely having no recourse for posting nonsense on the internet?C) he already deleted his tweet
It's pretty frustrating. I admit I've deleted things that are wrong, but that's when I realize I posted an easily verifiable stat wrong. I try very hard not to pass off my speculation as fact, which is why I'm holding myself to this standard of providing evidence.isn't it just lovely having no recourse for posting nonsense on the internet?
I dont think youre the petty one here.. sounds like a bad faith poster. It would be nice to set the record straight on this Faber thing once and for all... lots of bs floating around about itA) I'm petty
B) I like to provide evidence for my claims, which is a standard he apparently doesn't have
C) I didn't think of that and he already deleted his tweet, so now it looks like I'm the one making some random claim
It might never have happened had Faber signed with Los Angeles after his sophomore year. As big of a Wild fan as he is and was, he was all-in on the Kings. But he had unfinished business on the Gophers’ campus after advancing to last year’s Frozen Four.
“He made the decision to come back all on his own,” Motzko says. “I didn’t even have a meeting with him. He came in and knocked on my door and said, ‘I’m coming back.’ And, of course, I stood up and hugged him.”
Faber’s parents say Kings general manager Rob Blake and his staff treated Faber like gold, and Faber was initially devastated last June when he learned he was dealt to the Wild along with a first-round pick for Kevin Fiala.
Appreciate that. Couldn't find where he said he'd sign in LA, but provided the link and quote in The Athletic that said he was devastated when he was traded, which should at least cool off the "he had no intention to sign" BS.I dont think youre the petty one here.. sounds like a bad faith poster. It would be nice to set the record straight on this Faber thing once and for all... lots of bs floating around about it
Thank you so much. I literally found it just as you responded.@King'sPawn here you go...it's right here in this article from The Athletic
Brock Faber, the Frozen Four and a shot at a Minnesota 'dream come true' before joining the Wild
These dishonest people who cover the team and the ones who love to make excuses will counter that he wasn't willing to sign in LA because he rejected the Kings offer after his sophomore year, completely ignoring that he also didn't sign with the Wild that summer as he had "unfinished business" for the Gophers. It was never that he wasn't going to sign with the Kings, it as that he wasn't going to turn pro, not even with the Wild. But God forbid we could ever have a guy develop anywhere other than Ontario. In the eyes of Blakey, Nelly and Muzz going back to the Gophers was probably going to destroy his development so they had to pull the plug and trade him before it was to late.
BTW, in trying to find this specific article it makes you really realize how good a guy like Michael Russo, who writes for the Wild for the Athletic is. We once had a similar guy for the Kings but he got fired because he said mean things about the team and some the decisions they made.
Boom!Hoping for some help on this. Andrew Knoll decided to tweet out an assertion that Faber wasn't willing to sign with LA. I told him it's not true. And he's now asking where Faber addressed this.
