Nolmaoo Bro Gibson would be ideal for you guys..
He makes a completely unfounded BS tweet, which really makes a 21 year old kid not look very good (refusing to sign gives you a bad reputation). When by all indications Faber is a really great kid on and off the ice.I told him it's not true. And he's now asking where Faber addressed this.
It's one thing if its KiNgS_RuLe69 on a messageboard making this stuff up, but nope, now it's "professionals" who cover the team.
You secretly enjoy it when they play Taylor Swift at games and even hum along when no one’s listening. Prove me wrong.Faber was 20 years old, he decided he wanted to return to help his hometown school (which also happens to be an NHL factory) as team captain to try and win a National Championship, rather than ride busses from Ontario to Tucson with Marco Sturm, and people use that to push a narrative that he wasn't going to sign in LA, to make Rob Blake not look as bad for a trade that is obviously going to end up being terrible for the Kings.
I have the avatar I have because a bunch of football players at UM made the same decision as Faber and passed up the NFL draft to give it one final shot at a NC, even using a line similar to the "Unfinished Business" line Faber used. Faber came up a couple of minutes short of that goal, but for a school like Minnesota where hockey is like football is at most schools, it would have cemented his legacy as a legend on that campus, but I guess that wasn't as important as learning the system and paying his dues in the AHL.
Faber is going to sign a massive 2nd contract in the summer of 2025, that is a year later than he would have been able to sign a 2nd had he abandoned his dream of winning a National Championship to sign with the Kings, he should be commended for that, but instead he gets unfairly labeled as another Cutter Gauthier.

You call out the bullshit and his response is to... ASK YOU TO PROVE IT'S NOT TRUE?
That is where we are now as a society, I remember when the one making the accusations had to prove it. I wish we could go back to those days.
Pretty ****ing galling, right? And this is hours after he said Kings fans deserve what they get.He makes a completely unfounded BS tweet, which really makes a 21 year old kid not look very good (refusing to sign gives you a bad reputation). Honestly Arty needs to own his situation IMO. He’s an excellent NHL shot no doubt but the other 80% of his game are SOFT and he gets beat all over the ice there.
Least surprising bit of news. Todd’s going to run Kaliyev out of town.

Lizzo plays 5 times Artys size and he’s just not giving enough to make a difference.
Talent is without question but he’s not putting himself out there in those other parts of the game and it’s hurt us.
IMO I’d trade him if the value was there, his overall game isn’t enough.

so now that Byfield is rocking, Vilardi is being a stud and Faber is looking like the next Doughty do we give our amatuer scouts a bit of the benefit for targeting these players?
Two years ago we bemoaned Yank and the scouts as Byfield was scuffling, Vilardi and Turcotte were dead, and Faber (didn't want to sign), I know I know.
This year we are watching 3 thrive of them thrive, but two are with another org.
Turcotte looks great when healthy so I can't really fault them for there pick at the time. they did not have the benefit of hindsight.
They have also brought us Anderson, Roy, Clarke and Spence who are all NHL caliber dman.
Now we look at Kaliyev, Fagemo, Bjornfot, Kupari, JAD, and Laferriere . All have spent some time in the NHL. Now I argue these were awesome picks, but improperly developed with the exception of Laf.
Drafted line up.
Vilardi - Byfield -
Kaliyev - Turcotte - Laferierre
Fagemo -
JAD - Kupari
Anderson - Faber
Bjornfot- Clarke
Spence
no Quality goalies - traded a 3rd for Portillo
Between 17 and 22 we had 6 drafts and approx 30 picks. We had 3 top 10 picks in that time, Vilardi was 11th and everyone else was late 1sts and later. They say every draft a team should land 1 quality NHL player and in a good draft 2. There are 13 players up there that are contributing at an NHL Level. I know that Turcotte and Fagemo have had little time in the NHL but I would argue that may be team beliefs over talent. Looking at where we picked, who we picked and who was actually left to pick at that time, I think our scouting department deserves some praise.
I did not include the 22 draft class as its way to early to know what we have and we didnt start picking until mid 2nd. I don't like the Hughes pick but thats another story .
This does not include guys like Helenius, Thomas, Chromiak, Kirisov, Pinelli, and others that still might have a chance.
One thing I will say is they have a keen eye for defense.
In summary, I am happy with Yank and co's picks, I think our development strategies and staff are killing any of the scouts good work.
That’s a problem with development though. Byfield was drafted as Kopitar’s replacement and he’s been given 5 periods on the third line this season. Acquiring both PLD and Danault hurt the development of these players. One issue is the Kings drafted about 5 centers and none of them are playing center on this team….
Byfield, Kupari, Vilardi, Turcotte, Hughes…
Why would the ducks do this? Are you also throwing in Kate Upton?PLD, and Ritich for Gibson
Not a Gibson fan but would be a win to get away from PLD.
given the canadian mens team stuff I do not think we should be trading women as part of a deal. Why would the ducks do this? Are you also throwing in Kate Upton?

Can anyone off the top of their head think of a GM that has made more mistakes than Waste mangement? A friend asked me and I cant think of anyone off the top of my head and I know many of you have way more league wide knowledge than me.

Two words: Blake & KoalaOne issue is the Kings drafted about 5 centers and none of them are playing center on this team….

Lets say 5 years. Im thinking trades or contracts you immediately regret.. like Peterson, Dubois, Campbell, Huberdeau .. and lets assume Dubois stays on his current arc for the sake of argument. How long and how far back do you want to go? You also need to define mistakes
