does seem like a lot of people who said 'this situation is so bad no one wants to come here!' missed out on the idea that these guys are built different and truly want the challenge. whether or not its impossible or not remains to be seen of course.

He's here for the long haul too. It's clear they said he can build this team post Sid/Geno

Hi all,

Leafs fan here. Think Dubas was a great hire for the role of President in particular. He played a big part in creating whole new departments in MLSE - Analytics, and then Sports Sciences. I'd expect he'll follow suit in Pittsburgh - it definitely won't be a small front office that he builds, but it will aim to be on the cutting edge of stuff.

As a GM in Toronto he wasn't perfect, but most would agree he learned quickly. His last year was probably the best here in terms of decisions/moves ect.

I'm excited for the long-term outlook of this team. I still don't think they'll right the ship for another serious run before Sid hangs 'em up, but they're not gonna embarrass themselves (hopefully) until then, and hopefully there's a focused, clear vision on how to approach the next chapter.

He looks like Buddy Holly ❤️🧡💛💚💙
