Probably some f***ing losers...

Pretty much. Who ever is willing to be a yes man beta Bob to Sullivan. Horrible idea.

Its a better idea to make Sullivan the GM. No miscommunication, he can piece the trades and type of roster, set the lineup himself....and at thr end of the day he will eventually self sabotage himself and we can finally rid of it.

I really liked his answer on the goalies as well. Dubas said that theyll make a list of available goalies in FA/Trade and see how Jarry ranks on that list. He wont just be re-signing him because of familiarity

Sounds like they want to build the FO in a somewhat non-traditional way and have lots of support and a variety of roles. Which I think is a good change for Pittsburgh. To my eyes it's been too centralized on the GM position so that sooner or later it's easy for whoever that individual is to consolidate all power and decision making. Obviously you want to avoid bureaucracy and red tape but having extra layers of decision making so that maybe next time around someone can pipe up and say something like "gee guys maybe we should reconsider on Granlund seeing as how he obviously sucks" is not a bad thing.

Pretty excited about the future of the team which hasnt been the case in years. If Dubas can atleast put an entertaining team on the ice ill be happy. Any more playoff success at this point is just gravy

I like how the bar is set so low for the Pens management that just being able to have actual answers to questions seems transcendent.

Maybe it’s just because of my line of work, but results matter and BS doesn’t. We’ll see if he actually can do what he’s talking about.

Eh I think Dubas is super articulate for being a NHL executive. I don't think it's just comparing him to Hextall, Dubas is really well spoken.

That Dubas answer about the bottom-6 is a terrific answer. The focus with building a bottom-6 is to set up your top-6 to win you games. Dubas likes what they have in the top-6 but the bottom-6 needs to work to not be costing them games.

So no more Mikael Granlund trades, I suppose.

Cool. Doesn’t mean he’s actually good at running a hockey team. We will find that out. I am just tempering my expectations rather than getting my hopes up because he knows how to talk.
