When were the Leafs "completely decimated" by injury"?
During last season at one point Marner missed 11 games and Tavares missed 7 games. Plus there was injuries to Rielly, Andersen, Muzzin, Ceci, Mikheyev, Kerfoot, and Johnsson who all missed games. Finally at the start of last season they were already without Hyman and Dermott who had offseason surgery.

wasnt Barrie the only defenseman who played all games?

Well every team has injuries and Leafs had their share but for the Leafs to be "completely decimated " would mean Tavares, Matthews, Marner Reilley and Anderson would all be out at the same time. Once again Dekes For Days exaggerates the point to put the Leafs management in the best light.

When Rielly and Muzzin were injured and out of the lineup at the same time counts for their blue line being completely decimated.

There's very few teams that could manage their top 2 D members being injured near thr same time.

The reality is not all injuries are equal in impact
Without a doubt not all injuries are equal in impact. However when Toronto had to rely more on Cody Ceci and he also gets injured and misses 14 games, that's when you know a team is having bad luck with injuries.

Perhaps "completely decimated" is an overstatement but it's subjective term so I guess you could argue it either way. In any case, they had a lot of injuries which obviously contributed to their poor record
Yes it's an overstatement. Subjective or not most normal people would say it implies that many of the team's top players would be out at the same time. Sort of like in football this year when Denver's top 3 QBs were out for the same game due to Covid.
That certainly wasn't the case for the Leafs.

Not quite. I think in the 18-19 season the Bruins played a number of games with 4 of their top 5 D men out of the lineup. That's completely decimated.

The Bruins still had their top line of Bergeron, Marchand, and Pastrnak to make up for that. If the injuries to their Defenseman was that bad shouldn't Toronto have passed them and finished 2nd in the Atlantic during the 2018-19 Season? So it's a completely situation compared to the Leafs injuries from last season.

Is it possible the Bruins depth on D also contributed unlike our depth which started with Marincin ??

Good! Case closed. Playoff spot.

What case?

What? It's just an example.

Just making the point that since it's a subjective term, it's not for you to say what it means to "most normal people". To think so would be rather arrogant.

Bang on.

The Leafs D depth was the weakest part of the team so having 3/6 Dmen (including 3/4 of our PK pairings) down was brutal. I was terrified Dermott or Holl was going to go down as I didnt even know the name of the guy they would call up in that case.

There is no case anymore. It has been closed- The Leafs made the playoffs. They won their last game.

Injuries combined with the dramatic collapse in goaltending performance cost this team an absolute ton of points....and Keefe still had a 103 point pace as coach.

If the goaltending bounces back, watch out NHL.....
