Think @Alluckks was referring to the previous attempted hire. Based on this thread I'm getting that there will indeed be a new coach/staff installed today or tomorrow.

Nah, I was talking about stuff from a week ago. I just didn't want to say anything to that effect at the time (I know it isn't much) to give it some time to breath and talk about it a bit more.

That was also why when I posted last week I was pretty sure that Gorton had a particular guy in mind. Would be strange to be so absolutely dismissive at this stage if he didn't.

I'd also like to know, but only if you're willing to disclose, Allucks. I'm also a bit surprised because the Wolfpack will be a pretty good team with a lot of young talent. It's also the only vacancy in either the NHL or AHL so it's the last opportunity for someone to be a head coach.
