What was the Trouba saga
Rangers front office had a guy, calls were made, Gorton nixed it last second. This happened before the Trouba saga was settled.
It was the thing that occupied the majority of Gorton’s attention recentlyWhat was the Trouba saga
Nah, I was talking about stuff from a week ago. I just didn't want to say anything to that effect at the time (I know it isn't much) to give it some time to breath and talk about it a bit more.So now, no coach announcement tomorrow @Alluckks ?
Man this is very interesting. Wonder who the guy was
The AHL coaching job is now in a bad spot. Multiple turndowns. Multiple college coaches.
I don’t think Gorton expected the turndowns or he wouldn’t have nixed offers
Sorry if it’s been mentioned before, but do you know who any of the turndowns were? Thanks.

I can talk about it more after the fact. Right now I’m not trying to burn a family friend who talks about this stuff in confidence.Sorry if it’s been mentioned before, but do you know who any of the turndowns were? Thanks.
I'd also like to know, but only if you're willing to disclose, Allucks. I'm also a bit surprised because the Wolfpack will be a pretty good team with a lot of young talent. It's also the only vacancy in either the NHL or AHL so it's the last opportunity for someone to be a head coach.
What about Kris Knoblauch and Scott Allen?
Well that is pretty terrible. The 2 we wanted ended up declining. Looks like the Pack is going into the season again with below average coaching.
