Clark Donatelli was let go from Wilkes-Barre. Said for personal reasons, sometimes that just means the team wanted a different person, but he could want a break, I don't know. Seems like a good resume. 154-94-29 record in 4 AHL seasons. Lots of players promoted to the big club. Most importantly, 1984 Rangers fifth rounder.

Gorton asleep at the wheel again :shakehead

Or is if JD?

A coach that knows what he doing can’t be too keen on the outlooks for next season if he signs up in HFD. It just reeks of being an organization that totally is run by amateurs (when it comes to building an AHL franchise). They paint up all these big dreams, but it’s a work that is front heavy and requires so much from the surroundings. You can’t get what they want — a successful working organization. — and expect HFD to be a dumping site for picks they wanted to take a second look at. You must build a team down there too.

I can't say in good faith that they've neglected trying to build a team in Hartford. However, I will say their efforts have ultimately been unsuccessful (though I still believe if they had gotten any sort of consistent goaltending from any of the goalies they brought in, we'd all be having very different conversations about Hartford)

No, most importantly is that he went to Boston University :P

No. Rutherford knows Vellucci from Carolina. Vellucci wasn’t really on the market. And Sullivan may be on a hot seat. Vellucci wasn’t going to go from one team with an entrenched head coach to another. Wasn’t meant to be

You just know that if Messier was Hartford's coach he would commenting on how the Rangers are doing.

It's on the horizon. Some of their options are weighing other decisions. To my knowledge, they've narrowed down who they are looking at. Sorry for being vague.

Heard anything more?

I actually wouldn't mind if Chris Drury stepped down assuming both the duties as coach and GM for a year, with of course two coach-experienced assistents. For a number of reasons. It would be a great experience for him. Its very late in the season, it could be hard to find someone that is perfect now. And do they really know what they are looking for? I think it would be a bit of an eye-opener for Drury.

As of yesterday I know they are still talking to the same people; not sure if it is a hold up on commitment or what, but they have had the same couple people involved for at least a month.

I was just asking who the source was on this? No need to get snippy.
Wasn't trying to be snippy, just abrupt. This is just some stuff that I am privy to and that last bit isn't really telling of much or interesting, so I only offered it because Ola asked. I typically don't share things, and when I have it is usually only sharing some small stuff that I am certain of; or, more typically, I just share funny anecdotes or stories that I hear

@ZuccsFluffierFluffer you have a good grasp of the organization and you know the league at an advanced level, but your presentation consistently comes across as the little guy on his tippy toes with the elevator shoes.

If @Alluckks was going to share his source, he would have within his post.

The inquiry is unnecessary. Private source is none of your business.
