I read that quote as: "Rangers want top prospect. Nobody is offering any. Chris Drury will eventually budge."

I'd hope to get a deal done sooner rather than later because the kid may get hurt or do something that lowers his value. If we have to wait for the draft we will but I'd let it be known that we will take any 1st round pick meaning it can be lottery protected or 2 years from now. At the same time I'd let it be known that its 1st pick or good prospect. Nothing less. That we are in no rush. The more we win the less a pressing matter it becomes.
Marek brought up Anderson and said nyr eventually got their asking price but they had to wait it out to get it. It seems like nyr was pretty realistic on a return for AndersonThey also said that about Anderson
If you listen to the show the show the entire segment was about how Drury is firm with everything he does and he hates if people waste his time. They notes several ahl guys asked for trades in the past and Drury said kick rocks. Said he is firm but fair w trade offers and has made a little wiggle room but for the most part sets his limits and stays there whether it's what he's offering for a player or what he wants for one of his.I read that quote as: "Rangers want top prospect. Just had a good laugh reading through the GDT’s of Kravtsovs NHL stint at the end of last season. Funny how all of a sudden the revisionist history says he sucked in those 20 games; when in fact everyone was fawning over him and saying they wish Kakko or Laf looked like this, finally we have one of those young studs who stepped right in with confidence, how great he was, defensively and how he was the most exciting rookie we had since Kovalev.
I don’t agree with you on much lately, but this I do agree with. We were all rightfully stoked to have a dynamic “looking” kid out there.Just had a good laugh reading through the GDT’s of Kravtsovs NHL stint at the end of last season. It’s just our luck that we still figured out a way to ruin him.
We ruined the prospect of having that potentially special player on our team.We didn't ruin him. He just didn't want to be sent to AHL. Im sure Jones and Barron and Schneider didn't want to be sent down either.
Why? Because we dared to send him to a developmental league that 90% of players need to go to before becoming an NHL regular? Give me a break. We ruined the prospect of having that potentially special player on our team.
If you don’t have the professionalism to understand that your team just wants you to develop out of the spotlight. Then him reaching special status is unlikely…the special players usually thrive on adversity and proving people wrong. We ruined the prospect of having that potentially special player on our team.

I thought he should have made the roster as well. But this kid has a history of throwing tantrums at the first sign of adversity. This is who he is, and it won't stop. There will always be something for him to whine and cry about. Top-6 icetime. PP icetime. Coaches. Linemates. Contract negotiations. Seat assignment on the team plane.
Just like Tampa with Drouin, don't give a god damn inch. If he wants to play hockey, he needs to abide by the terms of the contract he signed. Once he reports to Hartford and recoups some value, quietly find a trading partner and facilitate a move. Who knows, maybe at some point his agent can get him to see reason and the relationship can be repaired. It's just annoying that none of these moves (barring a team magically meeting our asking price) are quick fixes.

yea we're not getting shit for him unless we mend the relationship.
Keep him and allow him to come back to NA if he wants. If he keeps pouting, let him rot in the KHL. A late round pick coming back for Kravtsov isn't enough for me to want to do anything. He seems like a talented player, but plenty of talented players never go anywhere in the NHL because of attitude problems. He needs to figure that out yesterday.
If he wasn't so self centered, and actually gave a shit about the team, he would already have been starting on the big club right now, but he had to be an idiot.
