I have always been a huge fan of Hank but I would submit to anyone that he won the Vezina this year as a reputation award. He was up against Quick and Rinne who were both equally impressive and arguably more impressive during that season, especially with Quick backstopping the LA Kings that just barely made the playoffs and then went on a historic run as a number 8 seed to win the Cup and did so in dominating fashion with him winning the Conn Smythe. I know that playoff success does not matter when it comes to the Vezina but at the same time the playoffs would not have happened for that team had Quick not played out of his mind to get them into the playoffs that year.
