Has this dude ever scooped anything?
A broken clock is right twice a day, but he is in the NHL Network TV/radio ecosystem.

His LinkedIn page gives him the title of NHL Insider for NHLN.

I haven't watched through this yet, but he did an interview about a month ago on his job(s). He did admit that it's usually the elite Friedman/Dreger type insider who breaks the trade, but he (Pagnotta) is more about the lead up to the trade.

I remain low-key intrigued by Fabian Zetterlund. 5'11", 220-ish chonker managing solid production for SJ again as a pending RFA who is going on 26 years old. Wonder what would make it worth Grier's while...
I feel like there's always a question about guys producing on bad teams. Either they're doing it in spite of no one else scoring, or their doing it BECAUSE no one else is scoring. Some guys can only flourish on bad teams.

Excellent target

Looks good to me. Break away speed, strong enough to be successful in the dirty areas and a willingness to go there, his right handed shot is good enough to beat goalies on it's own. Sign me up.

I mentioned him earlier as well, and he should definitely be a youngish rfa target. He's the kind of player that Tampa likes to target, and he is the right position for their needs. It would require an overpay, as he's been doing well for the Sharks, and they don't really have a reason to move him out of their top 6.

Didnt Goodrow, Coleman, Moser, Paul, and Hagel all come from shitty teams?

Yeah but none of them were scoring all that well on those teams. I just mean, some guys flourish when they're surrounded by more talent, and other guys cant hang with the talent.

I get what you mean, but at some point you also have to accept that when given the chance they could produce, at least a little bit, and that has to matter too.

I don't know that I can agree with that, we didn't trade for Hagel because he was shitty, he had 9 and 21 goals in his first two limited seasons of action, Coleman I think had two 20 goal seasons, Goodrow was a banger not really there for the numbers, Paul is the only one that I think fits your description.

Man looking at lineups buffalos doesn’t look bad but they’re 29th in the league. What is their game plan? I laughed out loud when I saw they hired Lindy Ruff.

Tuch is 28 Thompson is 28..

good reviews for Vinik, JBB, even Darche received a vote for the future GM category.

I'm not sure what the agents want for changes to TV broadcasts. Highly customizable sports streams didn't pan out. I don't know if it was just a lack of interest, or it was a grift. No one really went all-out to find out, either.

John Skipper, who I'm finding I largely agree with, indicated a similar sentiment.

NBCSN tried a bit, but the angles were unappealing. It'd just be those dumb views that follow a specific player.
