In relation to the draft

A interesting pick would be Aiden O’Donnell. Plays in Cole Harbour NS and was in the youth olympics
Sounds like he was expected to be a relatively high pick in the Q but opted to enter the OHL draft through legacy status.

6,1 170lbs centre.

Would that mean he most likely already has somewhat of an agreement with a team in the OHL?

Can MM can use that 5th in ‘25 and a couple of 6ths or something to complete a deal for a 4th ‘24, to help strengthen this year’s draft? Maybe. He was able to do a “I’ll scratch your back if you’ll scratch mine” deal with Saginaw to get us the 2nd we used to draft Lam.

Is there a trade partner out there who he can get something done like this? Maybe.

Rangers trade 5th in 2025 to flint for 6th in 2024

I was hoping if he were to do a deal he could have gotten a pick as high as a 4th rounder for that 5th ++.

Especially when you consider there were a few teams with deep draft cupboards who have multiple 4ths.

In any case, I like the deal. Here’s hoping he has an eye on or some inside info on a flyer to use that pick on.

He played for Team Pennsylvania at one point. He probably wants to be a Knight though 🙄

The only game on the schedule and they cannot find anyone better????
Not to mention his buddy Neely is also in the lineup. Maybe we should have the umpire next door ref instead. Surely we’d be in better hands.

Brock Otten’s mock draft-
Kitchener Rangers (Ethan Atticus Page) - Callum Croskery, D, Oakville Rangers
Immediately addressing the elephant in the room, Croskery has indeed committed to the Chicago Steel of the USHL. However, we have witnessed players changing their minds depending on the situation they are in on draft day. Or they play in the USHL for a year then commit to the OHL. If Croskery is to be picked by the Kitchener Rangers, I can see a universe where he stays in Ontario. Kitchener is a powerhouse when it comes to developing young players. And with the emergence of their star defender, Hunter Brzustewicz, Kitchener has a good reputation of pumping out elite defenders. Croskery is a mold of elite two-way d-man, having all the necessary abilities to transition well at the next level. His skating is among the best of the draft, and his vision with and without the puck makes him an asset in any area and any situation. This is why I feel Kitchener will select Croskery with their 15th pick.
Board favourite Xu is listed as a HM and compared to Dustin Byfuglien
