Uh, no.

Maximus spitting on the ground right after sums up tonight's effort as well as about 30 other games.

We actually did pretty good against the Central this season, oddly enough.

And the Metro.

6-7-1 at home against the Pacific, and 6-7-1 on the road. The road record is almost .500, but it does include a loss in Vancouver. Also 0-3 in Edmonton, with just 2 GF. The home record includes another loss to Vancouver, and an 0-2-1 against Arizona.

W/L in regulation:
25-35 in 16-17
34-28 in 15-16
37-27 in 14-15
34-28 in 13-14
24-16 in 12-13
31-27 in 11-12

They have 1 more regulation win this year than they did in the short lockout season. Somewhere between about 7-10 games is the difference. If a few of those losses were an OT/SO loss, that's a couple points. If some of those reg losses were wins, and they didn't always lose to the best of teams, that's some more points. They weren't wins or points though, which is why they're a bottom 10 team.

Can this season be called already and we just talk about the draft? ****.

With Bob's last game he'll call, I'm already going to be depressed. I don't want to add rage to that as well.

Can they just postpone Bob's last game to next season? Watching this current team one more time may just kill him.

I was reading LGK and was reminded of what a key guy Mike Richards was before his 2013 concussion. Heart and soul and fire and spit guy. I'm sorry for what he and everyone went through at the end of his career, but old Richards wouldn't have let Tkachuk's dirty elbow hit go unanswered. We weren't going to make the playoffs anyway, even if we weren't yet mathematically eliminated. My gut says that the team doing virtually nothing about it that game will be one of the things most remembered about this season.

However, props to Brown and the rookies Gravel and Forbort for giving Tkachuk constant extra shoves and stick taps all throughout last night's game.

Neither would Mitchell, Greene, or Regehr.

Brown would have probably answered by looking for a big open ice hit. Those days are gone for now.

There was a point last night where Brown lost a puck on the wall and picked up his speed, and it reminded me of old Brown where he would have gone seek-and-destroy...had a flashback. Still love Brown, but miss that bull in a china shop.

My mom was over and she asked in disdain if there was a game tonight. I told her not worry, season is over on Sunday. But I ended up watching only the first period, couldn't handle their dull play.

I can't remember how many complete games I have watched this season.

Lots have cancelled already.

I sure hope so. I have a buddy that renewed his seats, and he gave no thought into not renewing. I gave it to him. Said the Kings are the first team since the 67 leafs to win 1 playoff game in a 3 year span following a Stanley Cup. :shakehead And also DL and DS should be held accountable. Asked him how in the hell he can renew his seats with this product. Some people just don't get it.

Why? They are part of the problem. Let's just keep renewing our seats when the product is ****. :shakehead Make's upper management not feel the heat as much.

One of the lamest hot takes I've read on the board this season.

I guess myself and many others were part of the problem of supporting a hockey franchise through years and years of mostly sucking. Perhaps we should not have purchased season seats at all during that time. Everyone could stay away and then the team could just move somewhere else where people will still buy season seats even if the team misses the playoffs.

There are a lot of ticket brokers that currently have season seats because the Kings were a gold mine since winning in 2012 all the way through last season. I have a broker that banks at the small bank I work at and he is dumping the majority of his seats for next season. I'm sure many others like him will follow suit. I'm dropping two of my seats that I picked up during this run for resale purposes since the market is gone and I'm pretty sure that nobody is going to snatch them up, leaving the Kings to have to sell them on a per game basis.

This is where they are going to get hurt so you'll get your wish about "people" not renewing, although it is really mostly brokers that will be leaving. I agree with your premise of AEG should feel the sting of this **** show of a season and they will; however, STH'ers like myself that have supported this team and will still support them next season are not even close to the ****ing problem: the team is the problem.

Maybe he likes going to Kings games regardless of the product on ice?

I usually get annoyed when my "buddy" tries to tell me how to spend my money.

I don't tell anyone how to spend their extra cash on their leisure.

I didn't go to any games this past season. Instead, I am going on a vacation to the Dominican Republic to do some diving later this month.

I may buy some tickets in the secondary market next season to check out the Oilers and Leafs, maybe Pittsburgh.

I renewed mine. I enjoy watching hockey. I've been a season ticket holder for years and I'd watch them even if they suck. You'll be watching too. Luckily for me (and I'm not calling you poor so please don't go apesh**), I can afford it and will pay to go see more games. Probably cheaper to just buy it on stubhub but whatever.

Richards, Williams, Mitchell, Stoll, Greene.

That entire leadership core is gone, and it shows.

And a lot of people wanted at least 3 of those guys gone for the last 3 years. Before Game 5 against Vancouver, we were all ready to say goodbye to Stoll. Lombardi tried keeping as many as possible, and then 4 of them were on the team that missed the playoffs the first time.

We can't complain about both sides of the candle at the same time. They kept all the old guys that can't play! They have no more leadership with those old guys gone! Same with Gaborik. If they let him walk in 2014, where are they getting 27 goals in the 14-15 season? Who else was available at the time?

Not fair to judge anyone around here for keeping or releasing tickets.

Do think it's totally fair to observe speaking with one's wallet is the way to communicate loud and clear what people feel about the current state of the team.

Also totally agree with BigKing that if that ALWAYS happened, the Kings would be the Winnipeg Kings or some **** right now.

But I do think people not renewing next year in the face of the product on the ice vs. the ticket hike is a very good way to voice opinions. But I will never blame anyone who wants to support the team through thick and thin by being there. Hell, I want to do so, but I'm not paying increased prices for a decreased product, and I think it's completely arrogant of the organization to do that, so there's my vote.
