Hey, at least Bishop and his short stay here won't be as horrible as Grant Fuhr's tenure here. That's one positive takeaway from that trade.

I was just thinking about next season and how likely it is for the team to be just as bad next season. Maybe even worse.

It depends on how the players produce. We have to see what they do in terms of roster moves, but I'm not sure what would be worth doing. I don't think buying Gaborik out for example is worth it. I don't think even Vegas is taking him for just a single 1st round pick either.

If Kopitar/Carter/Toffoli/Pearson can combine for around 100 goals, that would be a good start for any success next year. Kopitar and Toffoli had terrible seasons though, and got hurt to one extent or another, so they couldn't score enough as a team. They can't get less than 30 combined goals from those two again.

Rookie goalie in his first pro game and they're not even testing him.

Yep, they've made it pretty easy on him after Lewis score. He was shakey after the goal, and they didn't keep pressing, especially on the pp.

If he one times it the same way the Flames scored their 1st goal, it's in. He, just like the rest of the defensemen always seem to wait an extra second before shooting.
