I sure hope so. I have a buddy that renewed his seats, and he gave no thought into not renewing. I gave it to him. Said the Kings are the first team since the 67 leafs to win 1 playoff game in a 3 year span following a Stanley Cup. :shakehead And also DL and DS should be held accountable. Asked him how in the hell he can renew his seats with this product. Some people just don't get it.

What's to get? He likes going to NHL/LA Kings hockey games and he thinks the price is worth it. It's not his responsibility to send a message with his purchases.

At the dead line i questioned why Jerome Iginla picked the Kings, above all the other playoff teams to come to. He screwed up, Bishop didn't have a choice to come to the Kings.

Not fair to judge anyone around here for keeping or releasing tickets.

Do think it's totally fair to observe speaking with one's wallet is the way to communicate loud and clear what people feel about the current state of the team.

Also totally agree with BigKing that if that ALWAYS happened, the Kings would be the Winnipeg Kings or some **** right now.

But I do think people not renewing next year in the face of the product on the ice vs. the ticket hike is a very good way to voice opinions. But I will never blame anyone who wants to support the team through thick and thin by being there. Hell, I want to do so, but I'm not paying increased prices for a decreased product, and I think it's completely arrogant of the organization to do that, so there's my vote.

I'm fortunate to have Die-Hard pricing since the third year I've had seats so it isn't a big deal at $17 a ticket next season; however, my parents jumped in last season for full seats so they will be at $38.50 a seat. I wasn't sure if they would renew but they didn't even bat an eye and they are far from well-off.

At the end of the day, it has become more than just watching hockey since it is a chance for my mother to see her son an additional ~40 times a year. She's 60 and riding up from Fountain Valley to go to nearly every game.

I understand the thought process of telling them how you feel by not renewing, but it isn't just solely about what is happening on the ice for every STHer. Hard to throw in the towel three years removed from winning a second Cup if you've had seats for years and years with numerous teams being worse than this one.

If STHers are part of the "problem", then we are also partly responsible for 2012-'14.

Message boards are funny.

If you buy tickets and support the current version of the team, you're stupid and part of the problem.

If you buy tickets and support the team only when they're winning, you're "fair weather" and not a true fan of the team.

Apparently they still have tickets available for the home finale...

This was the first time in a long while I elected not to attend any games in person. Used to go to games at The Great Western Forum, was at the final regular season (a loss against the Blues, and Jason Blake's debut) and final preseason game (destroyed Anaheim, on the scoreboard and physically) at The Forum, attended the first game at Staples Center against Boston, a 2-2 tie, and was a season ticket holder during the lean years of Derek Armstrong being a top two center here, attended many draft parties, etc.

Yet this version of the Kings has frustrated me like no other, mainly because they have so many underachievers letting the team down this season. This is one of the least cohesive teams in the league, and quite easily the most boring team to watch. I still begrudgingly watched every game this season and vent my frustrations here along with other fellow agitated fans. It's quite therapeutic.

You have a point there.

Eh, in the end it's entertainment and a chance to experience live action with friends and family. A chance to get away.

I know I'll miss hockey this summer and I'll be circling the draft lottery, expansion and real draft, and camp dates on the calendar.

I have my season tickets to UM football, and travel for most other games. I had Angels season tix when I was out there, but wouldn't do it again.

41 games is just such a big numer, especially in a market like LA where the re-sale dries up if the team struggles (although does go crazy if it goes well).

If I ended up back in SoCal I would just stubhub it.

My girlfriend would like me to just StubHub it too but, hey, I got to go if I already paid for it: especially if I will just lose money by selling it :sarcasm:

It's pretty much the only thing we ever "fight" about. I've missed seven games this season which is easily the most ever in 15 years. Only missed three last season and four the season before that.

We started going out during the 2013 season so she was like "Is it always this long?". "Season is starting already...didn't it just end?"

Needless to say, she's enjoyed the last three seasons and the April endings.

Out of the 15 years I've had seats, this is the worst on-ice product I've seen. There have been worse teams talent wise, but there was either the fact that the NHL was a tougher league during that time so there was at least some action going on or there was hope for the future and you were watching young guys once DL took over.

The bar outside my section has not disappointed this season, however. The real MVP.

It's definitely tougher to reconcile their performance with their expectations than it was when we expected them to suck

Back in the 2000s around here it was hilarious night in and night out because a win was a rare treat and the miserable ways things went wrong were expected.

It's super freaking hard to watch a team we've seen perform slide off.

The end result feels like a nice warm blanket.

I'm back in my comfort zone again haha

Wimp ass team. If this team is soft, fine, beat 'em with skill. Can't do that, but they can't out muscle any other team either.

Wait, you're an Angels fan, Herby? Maybe we can be friends :)

.

There's too much talent for them to play like this, especially comparing them to the 2000's teams. This is a playoff team, but for some reason can't put pucks in, and for me that comes down to the approach to scoring. This current approach of throwing a **** ton of shots on net and look for rebounds only works when they get through. And guess what , most don't get through. Until they change the way the offense is set up, they won't score.

Win 2 Cups and a WCF in 3 years....but yea, what have you done for me this year!

And the year before and the year before that.

I guess if you want to continue to live in the past, things are looking great. The Red Wings won multiple Cups in the 90s and 2000s. Guess their fans should be happy with what's going on now. Yet somehow they can't fill up their arena anymore. I wonder why that is? They should be content with living in the past.

One playoff win in three years, period. There comes a time when people can no longer rely on past success, and need to be held accountable for the poor performance of the last three years.
