Haha, no I understand. We're still regarded as a bad team (and rightfully so).

You guys are young and will be a force in the future, but the defense for the Oilers is very shaky. They are great on offense, they need to shore up the defense.

45 games. we've got 45 games to climb out of this hell hole.

Meh playoff's

I am more concerned with the complete lack of conditioning it appears of some players.

Richards is one of them. Carter at least looks like he is not gassed in the third.

I don't see what having a defensive dman back in Mitchell is going to do to magically make our offense score goals/give any effort. Sutter should send a message next game and bench Richards / Lewis and take away the "A" from Richards.

Not sure what to say, this team needs a kick in the ****ing ass. :shakehead Bad reffed game but still a **** game as well.

Yes they do. But they are getting better. I think the last game (that horrible Sharks game) was a good lesson for them.

It's a real problem. Richards has not made the choice to be ready for the season.

Stanley cup champions that was last year. This is a new short season, every game matters, we are losing to LAST season bottom feeders. How do you expect people to take it easy? We arent doing ANYTHING positive from our top 2 lines. I might be pissed but man, do i want richards gone ASAP. He's not what I thought he was. Atleast carter is doing something but richards has been nothing short of invisible. What a disgrace for the hype he rode to town with.

Oh and thank you to all the classy Oiler fans who have come here and posted. You have tons of exceptional talent and will be a scary team for a long time once you get every piece in place.

Yup. A slow start is not something any team can afford. Every game this season is a 4 point game. If the Kings want to go back to the playoffs, they need to show up to play. I don't see any intensity out of most of the players. Brownie needs to be throwing the body around like he did in the playoffs.

Had it not been for Quick tonight, the score would have been much, much, much worse. It also wouldn't have ended up in OT that's for sure. Something needs to happen and fast. I realize nobody is going to go 45-2-1 but still the Kings need to string together a few wins right away if they want to turn things around.

Slots people into correct places, Making breakouts better, And Mitchell is very underrated for his breakout passes.

The Kings record without Mitchell is something like 12-26....That should tell you something.

Time to face LaBarbera. Don't have a good feeling about that.

They just made Dubnyk look like Grant Fuhr. I'm sure they'll make LaBarbera look like Curtis Joseph by shooting the puck into him.

Try keeping all that Talented young players under Cap. Sacrifices will be made.

Why would you bench Lewis?

I had seriously forgotten what pure hell December and January of last year felt like. Ladies and gents, we've returned.

The main positive I can discern is that we have multiple reasons behind the current level of suck - most of which should diminish following a gradual return to form, combined with a weariness of being made to look like ****heels.

were gonna run DD into the ground, 33 minutes!!!!

They really have no choice, they getting zilch from Brown, Williams, Richards. Kopitar is coming off an injury and not 100%. Carter scored a nice goal tonight but I wouldn't call his play so far this season very impressive. They need the offense DD provides.

And as others have said, benching Penner and Gagne probably isn't going to send the message. Gagne was barely around last year and Penner was horrible and frequently benched by both coaches.

Someone like Richards or Williams needs, at the very least a skate on the fourth line for a game.

I'm sure they know that. But, that doesn't mean that can't be excited now. Sure, the teams needs more work.. at least with defense. They know that too. They have a right to be happy with the players on the team because they know it's only going to get better from here. I know I would be excited.

I agree. But until that happens they will have allot of ubber talented kids and be a scary team.

I wouldn't bet on it. They have shaky D and inconsistent goaltending, to keep their talented offence, goaltending or D will always suffer. Too much talent, not enough cap.

awwwwwwwww how i missed the kings sucking...i really felt out of place last year with our winning ways ...THE KINGS ARE BACK !!! :handclap::yo::yo::handclap:
