Oiler fan here, not trying to stir the pot but I thought the Kings did a great job boxing us out on the PP. Stick with it, Kings fans, the wins will come.

Quick once again was outstanding.

You guys are pure entertainment. Make Lakers fans look like the most gracious in the world.

Wow.

I'm not happy either, but I don't go ape **** like what I see here. Take it easy, and in perspective, its just a hockey game. Sheesh.

^ this too.

$$$$$

The **** of it is, we seemed to incrementally improve as the game went on, only to regress at a crucial point. We are a total mess at the moment.

Its not even a defensive issue, what with all the injuries. They've been great all thing considered. Our vaunted forward depth has completely and utterly vanished into the ether.

They've had their mulligans, now get your **** wired and put some W's together!

This is purely awful. With the garbage Richards showed tonight, he can sit in the press box next game. I am disgusted by the lack of effort the Kings showed tonight. Quit taking penalties, if you can't get off the ice to avoid a too many men penalty, you shouldn't step on it.

It seemed like the Kings thought this was the Thursday night SoCal over-35 men's beer league. Perhaps the Kings need an outdoor practice in Edmonton before leaving tomorrow. They need a bag skate in this bitterly cold weather to wake them up. I mean with the wind chill this morning it was around -25 celsius.

The other thing they could do (I forget who was famous for this) is to make them bag skate now. I remember reading a story about a coach, after a game like tonight, where he wouldn't let the players undress and shower. He made them come back out on the ice and bag skate them for another hour until they were dead tired. They typically came out flying after one of those.

I guess the Kings decided to play real good for about 20 games and then... back to old Kings.

But damn I hate games with a lot of posts. Cling of ****ing death

Make that 41.

They were 29-9-3 to close out last season, including the playoffs.

I hate the way this game went but I am happy for what it will do for our team. It is going to take a flew slaps to the face of everyone including mgmt to get us going again. No time to panic, just time to realize that the cup goes to the best team in hockey and to remember how hard you had to work every shift of every game to get there.

I agree, but this slap knocked me on my @ss.

This is hilarious to hear from an Oilers fan. (No offense) Thanks though. Good win by the Oilers!

Drewiske looked good, that's literally the only positive out of tonight's game. Obviously Quick looked good, he always does, that goes without saying. Clifford isn't getting enough minutes and we desperately need Willie Mitchell back

I liked that Kopitar started to shoot the puck, he is much more dangerous when he starts to do that.

after the dallas game last year i'm not surpised by this game.

Yup.

I was lamenting what that one point cost us, and then forgot completely about it after the way we crunched the opposition in the playoffs.

What will this one point cost us? Not much. At least we got one.

Weird game. Tough loss, but not the end of the world. It will take some time to get going. Just look at Boston's start last year. They went the first month 3-7-0 and the next month 12-0-1. We still have a ton of season left.

45 games. we've got 45 games to climb out of this hell hole.

Oilers fan coming in peace. What a weird game. No words to describe how bad the refs were tonight. I feel bad for Quick and wish you guys the best of luck during the rest of the season. I hope you guys don't think were all dbags after the fans starting throwing crap on the ice. Ive never seen our fans throw stuff on the ice over the past 15 years or so.

Scuderi is playing too much. He's getting gassed. Dean needs to land a vet dman to take some pressure off Scuderi until Mitchell comes back.
Mitchell has been cleared by the docs and trainers to play. He is trying to get into game shape before he returns.

Time to face LaBarbera. Don't have a good feeling about that.

Its alright. Its even fine to get upset I mean we poor our hearts into loving supporting this team and we expect the best out of them game in and game out and nothing less is acceptable. Its supposed to sting is my point.

Its supposed to sting everyone when you lose. So much so that you don't let it happen without putting in your best effort game in and game out. I had a great coach tell me something like that once and I carry it with me.

We will be fine sting and all but only after we start hating the feel of it. We are the cup champs and we will get back to playing like them as soon as we start hating the way it feels to lose to lesser opponents and that should be every other team in the league.

A lot of players are performing like they don't care and look completely disinterested. Richards is the most obvious culprit of this, but it goes all the way down to Carter and Brown and Williams and Kopitar and Penner. Not only are they a step behind, but they're taking bad penalties, they're not hustling, they're all just complacent.

For the third game in a row, Clifford and Nolan (and Quick) were the best players on the ice. The defense has been fine, but the offense is just not doing enough. It isn't only their lack of goal scoring and the impotent powerplay that's problematic, but it is their lack of scoring chances.

How many times was Dubnyk tested tonight? Just like the Colorado game, this team fell asleep as soon as the third period started. They had no business winning this game and laid flat against the Oilers, Avalanche and Hawks. These guys better wake up and pull their heads out their ***** soon or they're going to find themselves in a hole that is going to be difficult to crawl out of.

most fan bases would be throwing stuff in that situation
