Rumor: KINGS 2018-19 Season - The Luc and Rob Show

Waiving players doesn't do anything. It's not like they're gotten rid of. They'll just go down to the AHL if not taken. They have enough vets in Ontario as it is, no need for another one. They're not paying Thompson X amount of money to sit at home like they did Scuderi. Well maybe they would, but I'd be surprised. At some point, it is actual money they're handing out.

Nobody anywhere has been traded yet. The cap is too important to every team. You don't see too many spur of the moment trades involving significant contracts. What if nobody wants anyone from the 31st overall team that can't score or defend?

And the cap. $3.75m until 2021 for Pearson is a lot today. His play on the ice right now fits nowhere. Other teams have their own Pearson's, or their own young guys they want to see play.
 
What did everyone think of Cal Peterson? He seems laser focused and positionally sound. Not much you can do when the guys in front of you are out of position most of the time.

I just hope we aren’t Jamie Storr’ing this guys development throwing him out there with garbage in front of him.

I really think the Summer of weddings ruined this team. 3 guys look like they're in game shape (Clifford, Kempe and AI), the rest look gassed from the first shift.

This team is Poop.

Pearson is the worst player on the roster. They'd be lucky to get a 3rd for him.

Carter is a shell of himself and you can't be taken serious if you honestly believe a team will give up a 1st for him. He's been bad, not Pearson bad, but still pretty crappy.

Kopitar, He's just a guy out there, not creating, not setting guys up, hesitant. Not good, just a guy.

DD isn't playing great either. 6 of his 10 points have come on the PP. There are shifts where he looks bad. He has to leading the team in turnovers. I'll stand by my opinion that moving him has to be round tabled.

It's not a coaching thing, it's a player thing. They keep talking about injuries, but beyond Quick, Campbell and Brodzinski, who am I missing? Goaltending hasn't been their issue this season, it's actually been their strongest area.

And No, this team isn't close. That's fake news. This team is broken.

Would love that but the top line would be the Kopitar Line.

I would also be cool if Toffoli was moved and Carter was kept depending on which one receives more in return. The key is Hughes. LA would be very lucky to get that

If all Pearson gets is a 3rd than he should not be moved unless in a package deal.

Seems like they have no respect for or between themselves either.

Since starting the season 2-1-1, but not looking great doing it, they're 3-10. A nice 0-4 record on the road, and 3-6 at home, while being outscored 31-19.

They're 1-5 on the road for the year, outscored 19-9. If we go by that, they might get 1 point in the next 3 games. Certainly doable. Nashville is all but a bad looking loss already. Chicago is terrible, but St.Louis might have some fight in them.

Since Oct 11th, the Kings are a league worst 3-10, and averaging 1.85 goals per game.

I hadn't been to a game this season until last night, but man oh man watching them in person, you can see there is no intensity. Your energy line is basically you're best line. Other teams have nothing to fear from the Kings like no hard hitting defensemen, no rats like a Marchand or Tkachuck, no speed like Kapannen. One thing is missing for sure and its heart from this team. I would much rather see a team play with heart and lose than look like they are just going through the motions.

He looked great from what I saw, I was hesitant when I saw people saying he could be our future starter but I could see it now
