I was just quoting and replying to what you posted, brudda. I'm not gonna psychoanalyze what GoldenBearHockey "really" means after every post you submit.

Lol fair enough but man that's just common sense, no one is saying his shot is perfect or he should stop working on it, but his shot is not what's wrong with his game right now

If it doesnt fit his narrative it's out of context so hes always right. I'm taking the high road and just ignoring his posts, it's not worth the effort.

Kempe has 1 shot in his last 56 shifts. Hard to tell if his shots need work when he's not taking any.

None of kempe's penalties this year have been "good" penalties. I could be wrong but I dont remember any occurring in the defensive zone.

Number of people on this LA Kings specific forum that don't know what the hell they are talking about?

Or the number of people that agree with me in private, but won't say anything?

In my recollection most of them are reckless stick fouls, like slashes and high sticks. Not lazy hooks for sure, I agree, but they aren't roughing or elbowing.

3 slashes, 2 holds, 1 hook, 1 interference, 1 GI,

All per ESPN they are missing one, etc, now take into account bad calls, etc, I'm not worried about his "goon" factor like others

Oh, ok, Pearson is going to be a dad. Not really a fan of knowing the personal stuff, but that makes sense. That's taken down most of the Kings. Some of the other guys that had kids were top line players, so when their play fell they became 2nd/3rd line guys. Pearson is a lower end 2nd line guy as it is, probably more 3rd liner, so his fall, as we can see, is then not an NHL player.

What is it, when these players get married and have kids, their games go south? My firstborn son was autistic and could not speak or jump until he was 4 years old...
and I was going to 3 therapies a week with him and then going into WB Studios for 4, 12 hour shifts a week, from 4 pm to 4 am, then going to bed at 5 am, often
getting up at 9 am to do so many things these stupid players could never have dealt with...a bunch of weak sucks...and my wife became depressed for awhile and told me she almost drove off an embankment to kill herself...most of these weak suck players would have had to take a leave of absence...if my work suffered, I would have been fired. Sick of these babies.

So what's Toffoli's excuse?

I admire your ethic to take care of your child(ren). But you seriously can't understand what lack of sleep from taking care of a baby does to an athlete who needs to be in peak physical shape?

These guys depend on routine and healthy habits to optimize their performance during games. A baby interferes with both.

I just want to know from the mods why Golden Bear Hockey doesn’t have any infractions yet for his name calling and horribly rude behavior to other posters! I know for fact that old timers would get banned for this outrageous talk.

It's ok Nancy...mainly because most posters on here, are adults....and I haven't called most people names....I do refer to them as "person" haven't you noticed?

First off I admire your commitment to your family, and it's good to remember that there are people with real issues they must overcome without the benefit of being a millionaire.

I am sure players who get married and have families find it more difficult to maintain their commitment to being a high-level athlete, but like the rest of us, it's their job and they need to maintain their performance.

Peter James, if you had a guaranteed big money contract at WB Studios, do you think you might have slacked off instead of sucking it up?

You're a great father. It goes without being said that very few of the players in the NHL are going through, or went through, what you did.

Pearson can go into another room to sleep and leave baby duty to his wife until the season is over, if a crying baby/night duties are getting to him and effecting his play. Easy peazy. None of these players are going through the type of regiment you went through, brother.

In any event, in my opinion you have every right to call these players weak if their game is slipping because they can't manage to walk into another room at night and put some noise cancelling headphones on and crash out whilst leaving baby duty to mom. I happen to agree with you. It's too easy to correct.

Godspeed to you and yours, brother.

No. I missed 1 day in 10 years...the day I got Lasik surgery. I still wanted to go into work and the doctor told me absolutely not. Otherwise, I would have never
missed a day. Thanks for the kind words...today, Justin is 23 and owns a small condo, (we saved for him, not knowing how he would end up doing and if he could live on his own) drives and works at the Westin Hotel in Denver...made a lot of sacrifices and were in therapies until he was 12.

Yeah I'll confirm that. When my wife had twins we were lucky to get 4 hours of sleep a night for the first 5-6 months. Always been healthy as f*** but that threw off my cholesterol and blood pressure.

That's awesome man. My wife is a special education teacher and I worked in the field myself as a behavior therapist so I know how proud you probably were as a parent and how big of a step that is for him to take.

Wow...hope Vilardi clears for contact and then goes to Ontario Reign for a week or 2 ! No one is very hopeful it seems and for good reason...but what if..if..if..IF he is good to go and starts off like he did last December, when he started in juniors? He hit the ice and was 2 points a game immediately for most of the season. It's not entirely out of the realm he does well with the Reign and is playing on the Kings within 3 weeks. And it's entirely possible he produces on the Kings soon. Pearson and Kempe had better start producing something.

When Vilardi comes to mind, everyone thinks of ONE THING: injured, damaged back. May never be healthy or ever become anything. Many have had back issues and overcome. When I envision some of the footage I have seen of him, that's what I want to think of, doing that on the Kings. He's an immense talent.

Brief Gabe Vilardi update... From what I'm hearing, sounds like he could be assigned to AHL Ontario soon for a conditioning assignment. While he isn't allowed to play the season there (due to age, it's NHL or juniors), the CBA does allow for two week rehab stay .

An interesting CBA quirk with Vilardi:

He had no days on the NHL roster last season, was placed on season opening IR by LA, and is not eligible for the AHL due to the CHL<>AHL transfer agreement. Per the CBA rules that means while he's been on IR he has been paid at his junior level salary which is probably $10,500 per year. CBA 15.6(e) and CBA 9.4 for the curious.

If he is sent on a LTIR Conditioning Loan to the AHL then I think he continues to receive that $10,500 salary while there. Though I don't know that for certain.

If he is activated to the NHL roster and subsequently sent on a Conditioning Loan to the AHL he would receive his NHL salary of $832,500 while there.

So potentially significant difference for his wallet.
