The fourth period has developed a little bit of credibility since last year. Pagnotta has broke some big news recently.
If they picked up the "leadership baton" you wouldn't even know because there wouldn't be a way to tell from the outside.By then Williams was 33 years old, Stoll was 32, Regher was 34, Greene was 31, Mitchell was gone, and Richards was a shell of his former self. I would argue the mind was willing, but the flesh was weak.
Meantime in 2014-15 everyone was waiting for the 25-year old Drew Doughty, and 27-year old Anze Kopitar to pick up the leadership baton, yet there it sets still laying on the ground where the real leaders left it.
It's not always about giving up. Sometimes you're just not good enough.I know, but this bunch gave up on the previous regime too. The one they actually had success with.

Just heard Hoven on SiriusXM saying that JS is Not the Kings coach when they play ANA, no matter tonight’s result.
According to the mayor, prior to the loss to PHI, Stevens job was safe and no players were unhappy with him. But following Thursday’s game things changed and now it looks like a coaching change happens.
Hoven said it was most likely Dan Bylsma because of connections to Blake/Luc and the fact that he gets money from BUF still. With JS out, the Kings will have to pay him and Sutter, plus the new guy.
The Mayor also said Patrick Roy and Lindy Ruff were names he heard were possibilities.
Barf, all around if any of that happens
Our front office has turned into the Oilers
The players are dog**** and are unhappy, so Blake and Robitaille's solution is let's make a coaching change.Just heard Hoven on SiriusXM saying that JS is Not the Kings coach when they play ANA, no matter tonight’s result.

Chris Sutter! If he's gone regardless, why bother giving him another game? Go Lamoriello on it, fire Stevens, and put Blake behind the bench for a game, and then name your new coach. I have no idea whether any of that rumor is true, but why would they go out of their way to torture Stevens? Maybe because they get an extra hour to start next week, with 2 days between games tonight and Tuesday?
This is the fun part of losing though. Only with losing do you get the trash cans, the bad trades, changing captains, and just the general chaos. Waiting 2 days for no reason to fire Stevens would fall into that category. Say what you want about winning, but chaos can be entertaining. I hope they fire him at the end of the 1st period tonight, and then let Doughty coach.
