The fourth period has developed a little bit of credibility since last year. Pagnotta has broke some big news recently.

By then Williams was 33 years old, Stoll was 32, Regher was 34, Greene was 31, Mitchell was gone, and Richards was a shell of his former self. I would argue the mind was willing, but the flesh was weak.

Meantime in 2014-15 everyone was waiting for the 25-year old Drew Doughty, and 27-year old Anze Kopitar to pick up the leadership baton, yet there it sets still laying on the ground where the real leaders left it.
If they picked up the "leadership baton" you wouldn't even know because there wouldn't be a way to tell from the outside.

Having guys with good leadership/character doesn't make you a winner. You can have the best commander lead you into battle, but if you're out-gunned you're still going to die.

I love Stoll and Mitchell and those guys, but they weren't as important to the cup runs as Kopitar and Doughty. It was the latter that actually lead this franchise to the holy grail.

Leadership and intangibles are exaggerated by the fans and media. It makes for a great story, but talent is what wins you games.

I know, but this bunch gave up on the previous regime too. The one they actually had success with.
It's not always about giving up. Sometimes you're just not good enough.

Sometimes you catch lightning in a bottle and can't recapture it.

He and Bernstein are in Finland for the Jets / Panthers series and tweeting about it and coming back to US...so it seems there are connections, not that any deal will get done.
Of course Blake is in trade talks...just will have to wait and see if anything gets done. Weird he could be talking Voynov...I would think the league needs to make a ruling
first. I wonder why Voynov (and his camp) waited till Nov 1 to ask the league for clearance? Unless there was some time stipulation? I would think they would have asked
2 months ago. ??

Just heard Hoven on SiriusXM saying that JS is Not the Kings coach when they play ANA, no matter tonight’s result.

According to the mayor, prior to the loss to PHI, Stevens job was safe and no players were unhappy with him. But following Thursday’s game things changed and now it looks like a coaching change happens.

Hoven said it was most likely Dan Bylsma because of connections to Blake/Luc and the fact that he gets money from BUF still. With JS out, the Kings will have to pay him and Sutter, plus the new guy.

The Mayor also said Patrick Roy and Lindy Ruff were names he heard were possibilities.

Barf, all around if any of that happens

I'll take Patrick Roy to coach. He'll definitely light a fire under their asses

Our front office has turned into the Oilers

Loyalty has devolved into Old Boys Club. That loyalty shtick of Lombardis was a double edged sword. And the Kings have been getting their shit kicked in ever since 2014 cause of Loyalty, now the Old Boys Club has the reigns.

The players are dog**** and are unhappy, so Blake and Robitaille's solution is let's make a coaching change.

The puppy is Luc Robitaille. The Dalmatian mother is the Kings season ticket holders.

Right. because this information would be out to the public right before gametime for John Stevens.

DOUBLE Confirmation?!? does that make it an E10?!?! WOW.

You know people can hate on Hoven all they want....THAT is a bold ass claim. If he's wrong? Ouch.

I mean if he's right ouch too but you get what I'm saying.

I wonder why the philly game changed anything. Weve been getting our **** pushed in for weeks.

No kidding right? Best I can come up with is what my worry was at the time...they used the Rangers win as a rallying point, like it was changing things, which is a huge bag of LOL GTFO.

Prior to the last loss Stevens was safe and the players were happy? One loss later, everything changes? That makes no sense.

I think Bylsma is a good coach but too soft. Patrick Roy would be hilarious and a wake up call to the players. I think they would respond but tune him out in a couple of seasons.

I just want Voynov back so he can at least beat some sense into the team.

If he's gone regardless, why bother giving him another game? Go Lamoriello on it, fire Stevens, and put Blake behind the bench for a game, and then name your new coach. I have no idea whether any of that rumor is true, but why would they go out of their way to torture Stevens? Maybe because they get an extra hour to start next week, with 2 days between games tonight and Tuesday?

This is the fun part of losing though. Only with losing do you get the trash cans, the bad trades, changing captains, and just the general chaos. Waiting 2 days for no reason to fire Stevens would fall into that category. Say what you want about winning, but chaos can be entertaining. I hope they fire him at the end of the 1st period tonight, and then let Doughty coach.

Chris Sutter!

Make Tippett happen. Show him the money. The dude took a shitty coyotes team to the conference finals...

Also. Call f***ing MacDermid up. If we’re gonna be shitty, at least we can watch MacDermid beat the shit out of people...

Chris Sutter!
