Those in the trenches again turn to practice and detail to alleviate issues - LA Kings Insider

Yanetti: "Clifford is a generational character guy " wow. I said that as a joke a couple weeks ago and they're actually serious.

Time to strap yanetti to the rocket as well.

Also, smart of Stevens to decide to shorten the bench because Lindbloms goal went off of Walkers stick. Grooming the rookies to fail I see. Whopping 6 minutes of ice time.
How much room does this rocket have? Need a lot of space

Holy **** man, it's not about just being good teammates....

Take a look at the last 10 cup winners, take a look at the 4th line, I guarantee you you had players like Clifford on them ffs.

Hell I will do the work for you,

2017-2018 - Washington - Devante Smith Pelly
2016-2017 - Pittsburgh - You can go with Eric Fehr or Tom Kuhanckl
2015-2016 - Pittsburgh - Same two guys
2014-2015 - Chicago - Marcus Kruger/Ben Smith
2013-2014 - Los Angeles - Clifford
2012-2013 - Chicago - Dave Bolland

Etc.....but hey, you keep on thinking players like Clifford are useless ffs

Looks big enough to me.

Can someone explain the Dustin Brown broken finger situation? They put him on LTIR which put him out almost a month, but I was watching the ducks game the other night and one of their players also had a broken finger and missed 3 games. Was there something deeper going on with brown, or blake and co. putting brown on LTIR another sign of incompetence?

Depends on the break and where. If its at a joint or little finger, you can't grip your stick.

Did he take the defense with him too? How the hell are they -20 now?

Almost 12 full games with zero emotion. Muzzin was right, they don't seem to care enough that they don't care enough. Which includes Muzzin, probably as he said that. Outside of Brown for a couple shifts, maybe Kovalchuk and Iafallo too, nobody has played angry, or with urgency, or with any real conviction. Same team that's 1-10 at home against SJ since 15-16. That's almost as bad as what the Stars used to do to the Kings in the 90's. How is SJ 10-1 in LA? Same team that's a -50 something in 1st period goal differential since the start of 16-17.

Every little problem the team and roster has had over the years seems to have finally all come together at the same time. Although, it's not like they haven't had a 3-8-1 type stretch before. In 13-14, from Dec 23 to Feb 3, they went 5-14-2, and outscored 56-33. Basically the same points per game as 3-8-1, just in a larger sample size. That 21 game stretch is also the one that included the 6 straight games where they scored a total of 3 goals, all by Kopitar. Then they went 14-3 in their next 17. I don't think we can find a post from Feb 4th, 2014 anymore, but man, I was we could. It would be very interesting to read it. I wonder how far we jumped off the bridge. From Jan 1 to the end of the season in 11-12, they were tied with Buffalo with 50 points, good for 13th/14th in the league. Then they blitzed everyone in the playoffs.

This 3-8-1 record just happens to be at the start of the year, coming off the sweep, which itself came off the 3 prior seasons.

So who knows.

what my doc said when i broke my hand was that the initial set is really important because if there's angulation but no axial rotation at the fracture, it's likely to heal itself and it's a pain tolerance thing but if there's rotation it means surgery and a longer healing time otherwise your fingers don't grasp in the correct direction any more

ultimately i think it also depends if there's splinters or anything since this was an impact thing rather than a torque thing and i suppose there's the potential it damaged the knuckle itself

Makes me wonder if the players respect the people in charge.

Twitter along with the idiot Dennis Bernstein tweeting cryptic #ongoodauthourty or something like that. I have known DB for about 17 years though haven’t spoken in 14 maybe and he was a I have all the information type person back then too.

Thank you. I've never met Bernstein but I learned quickly from reading his stuff that I wouldn't like him, and nothing has changed my mind. I don't follow them on Twitter.

Of the 422 teams that have played since 05-06, the 18-19 version of the Kings, through 12 games, have the 422nd ranked points%. A little bit worse than the Avs from a couple years ago.

That's remarkable.

The Kings are also averaging a pathetic 2.00 goals per game. That puts them on pace to be one of the worst offenses of all time (post WWII). Only 4 teams since the end WWII have ever had a worse offense: 13/14 Sabres, 14/15 Sabres, 97/98 Lightning and 53/54 Blackhawks.

Interestingly, the Kings have a worse GAA than any of those teams also.
