I wouldn’t be opposed to some load management until Christmas. From Thursday onward, they play 10 games in 16 days. They play every other day + have two back to backs mixed in there.

Keep him out of back to backs + one more game off and he’ll be at 7 games in 16 days heading into Christmas and 7 games in 19 days coming out of the Christmas break.

Of course I’m just armchair-ing this to set him up for long term success. If he jumps in and is healthy and playing great? Well then just let him rip.

Honestly, I think it is going to need to be a game by game and day by day thing. Backstrom came back and was gone quite quickly. He might feel good one day and terrible the next, as there isn't many athletes that have played games for any length of time after this surgery let alone being good.

Chiclets had a rundown of athletes that had the same resurfacing procedure as Kane. Not a good track record with hockey players but Andy Murray and Undertaker are among the successes.

Fan of the Undertaker, but one thing he didn't have to do was skate with all the twists and turns and stops and starts, etc., that skating has to it. Also, didn't have to go full tilt for 30-60 seconds and then be ready to do that again for a shift soon after.

If Husso starts, he's letting in at least 3 goals. I'd prefer Lyon to get as many games as possible, but Lalonde could just go 50/50 split instead.

Raz has been playing better lately, he's not getting benched. Perron and Kostin together are way too slow, that will never happen.

I don't think the lines matter with this much talent. It's probably more about ice time management for Kane than anything else.

Yeah, I don't disagree there. Problem is where and how he is used, 5on5 and PP, Fischer kills penalties, as does Ras. That's why I think Sprong or Kostin will sit. Either way, Lalonde is going to sit someone who is banged up, that could even mean Compher.

Kostin does neither. No PK or PP. He is also getting Czarnik-level lowest ES ice-time. That tells the hierarchy.

He is the obvious option if all are healthy.
