Dater saying likely tonight, but a chance of tomorrow morning. ffs

With a chance of.......WHAT THE f*** IS TAKING SO LONG????!!!!

It's been 17 days since he was suspended! This wednesday will be THREE f***ING WEEKS since the play happened! And they still don't have a ruling on how long he'll be suspended for.

This is bunch of corrupt bullshit. There's no reason they could possible give to justify why it's taken this long, and they're taking advantage of the fact the Avs are in a tight playoff race and don't want to complain about this and distract their team.

The Avs desperately need Kadri both offensively and defensively on that second line and the NHL is dragging this out as long as possible to save face, while they give Reaves and Wilson slaps on the wrist for deliberate attempts to injure players.

I just hope they didn't make Kadri pay for this arbitrator. He was brought in to decide whether an 8 game suspension was fair, but he's already served 6 games. He's probably wondering what the hell he paid for.

By the time his 7th out of 8 games served rolls around, it'll have been 20 days since his suspension was announced. Twenty!

To be technical the seventh game of the suspension on Tuesday will have been 20 days since the Faulk hit. 18 days since the suspension was announced on May 21.

But still that's nearly three damn weeks!

I feel like if it wasn't going to be reduced they would have just announced it. The fact that it's taking this long feels like they are at least weighing the idea of reducing it by a game.

Reactions: Avs

Yeah, the more I've thought about it the more I've sorta thought that the arbitrator isn't going to reduce it.

I can't really agree. This arbitrator has a big history of siding with players and reducing long suspensions, not really sure where the people talking to Dreger are getting thier confidence from but we'll see I guess.

One thing I keep coming back to...and that's disappointment in Kadri.

Yeah we can all be upset at the whole process, but we wouldn't be in this process if Kadri weren't so hockey dumb sometimes. I've already said my piece on this, that I think he was legitimately trying to make a hockey play, but he failed to recognize that he was absolutely in 0 position to do so cleanly/legally, and thus he committed to a terrible hit.

At the end of the day, he has to have better situational awareness to not do shit like that.

That's why I think it should get reduced. He is arguing he knows in the past he has allowed his anger to injure people. But this time was a poor hockey decision.

You're right though, as a Torontian there was a ton of grinning and circle Jing of the media when the leafs were up 3-1 and Kadri got suspended again.

Maybe the Avs asked the arbitrator not to announce the ruling until this afternoon, so that Vegas has very little time to prep for Kadri being back in our lineup and the insertion of B. Byram to kick some ass in game 5??? .... Dreamers can dream, can't they?

Oh I think it certainly WILL get reduced to 6 games but the announcement is going to be just at the right "hey Colorado, f*** YOU" time so that he slots in but more as a distraction then a plus. So something like 3pm or 4pm just to try and be as disruptive with the Avs gameplan as possible.

Imagine if it had been Brad Marchand?? Anyone think it wouldn't have been rendered IMMEDIATELY since bettman and jacobs are bffs?

It seems like we’re all upset about the amount of time this is taking.

On the other hand, does it really matter if the suspension is upheld? We seem to be vastly assuming this is getting reduced with pretty much no evidence other than, it’s happened in the past.

Do we actually any kind of comparative to be able to justify a reduction?

No, because the DoPS has no commonality in their decisions and so there is zero standard for anything to ever be compared to. It's rather brilliant really.
