Make a decision arbitrator. This isn’t some difficult and high detail case. It should be reveled and adjudicated inside and hour or so of review. .

If Kadri is in tomorrow, he better is on hellfire.....

He owns one to his teammates.

Can you imagine if it gets reduced to six games and he returns at home with the crowd going crazy? Then goes and runs through someone on the forecheck? That'd give the Avs a significant energy boost.

(Then maybe gets suspended again)
He could very well be the spark the Avs need to reignite the series.

Agreed 100%

I think I would still like to see a serious shake-up of the lines:

Landy > Mac > LOC
Saad > Kadri > Burky (This line worked really well once. Maybe a focused Kadri makes it work again)
Donskoi > Mikko > Newhook ( Or Newhook as 3C and Mikko as 3W, not that titles really matter)
Nuke > Jost > Ranta

The Avs have last change in games 5 and 7, giving Bednar the edge in strategy. ( I laugh at myself for including the words strategy and Bednar in the same sentence, but a boy can hope, no?)

Or go 11/7 and double shift Saad and Mikko on Jost's line. In truth, Nuke > Jost > Mikko would constitute the second best line currently. We already know that Nuke > Jost > Saad was the best third line all year.

I just cannot get on board with LOC being on the top line. The dude can skate, he's fast, and he's tenacious hunting down the puck. He has a great motor. But he doesn't have the top-end talent to match up with the big boys. Those are the minutes against the top D from Vegas, big dudes who are great at disrupting plays, getting sticks in passing lanes and being physical. LOC would be crushed and doesn't have the talent to finish off great assists from Landy and Mack, and doesn't have the ability to set them up when facing the big boys. He's a great 4th line winger for now.

Also, dropping Mikko down to the 3rd line seems a bit much. Putting him with Dong and Newhook is a recipe for no points.

I think this lineup actually makes us way worse, it attempts to spread out the top line across multiple lines but at the expense of them all.

Jost and Saad have been two of the most puck hungry out there, I dont think Jost should be on the fourth line. Nor Nuke.

But, ultimately, I don't know what to do to shake up these lines.

If Kadri can come back tomorrow I’d go with

Nuke-Mack-Bura
Newhook-Kadri-Rants
Lando-Jost-Saad
JTC-PEB-Dong

Byram-Makar
Toews-G
Graves-MacDonald

It won’t happen but I can dream

I'm not really trying to break up the top line. Belle is getting absolutely destroyed as 4C right now. I love the guy, but this is an awful matchup and he needs to sit until next round. Nor am I saying that LOC is a first liner forever. His best upside is middle 6. But Calvert proved last year that in a limited setting ( and I am talking LOC for a total of 3 games) that Mac can thrive with an energy guy ( LOC / Calvert) and a grinder ( Landy). LOC is much more of a pest than Mikko as well, and the Avs could use that against Vegas.

I'm also not that concerned with what is called 2 or 3 or even 4. Nor am I really concerned who is called the C on any line, as long as they can drive play. Is Mikko a traditional 3rd liner? Of course not. So call that the second line. As for recipes, Mikko was 1RW last night, and got no points for the first time in 2 seasons' worth of playoff games. My thought process - and it could be wrong - is that Nuke and Mikko would match up extraordinarily well against any other 3rd line. DeBoer's strategy is clearly to neutralize the 1st line, and hope to snipe some goals from lines 2 and 3. The lineup I suggest does the complete opposite. It LOC and Landy help neutralize the Vegas 1st line, then Mikko can feast against clearly worse competition.

I'll assume you mean LOC as 4W, but the prospect of JTC cloning himself and playing both positions just made me soil myself!!

Graves / McDonald scares me a little bit, as they both love to play pretend-MacKinnon, and we already know Vegas feels they can stretch pass against this team.
