3 of the 4 goals scored against Wallstedt were on the PP. Hlavaj has been better this year, though.
- That game last night was great for the offense, even though it was against a bad team.
- MAF had a lot of time off, so i expected something like what we got. If memory serves, he also let in two weak goals last time out. If we need him for the playoffs, we are screwed.
- Brazeau gives us nothing. No offense, no speed, no physicality, little defense. I have this feeling that Hynes is playing him due to pressure from Guerin, who is trying to justify the trade for him. Hinnestroza isn't great, but at least chips in a bit on offense, and is faster. Ohgren is better, too, though I can see the argument that he it is better for his development to be playing top minutes and developing his offense in the AHL (which he is doing). We'll be seeing Ohgren once the AHL regular season is over, so hopefully he will play over Brazeau then.
- If we get Middleton back, this is the healthiest this team has ever been going into the playoffs. If we beat Calgary, Hynes can take the opportunity to cut back on Spurgeon, Brodin, and Faber's minutes, and maybe a forward or two who is banged up or tired(Zucc, Foligno?). It's interesting to see how good Ek is when he is rested and healthy. The time off has been a blessing in disguise for him.
