From what I've heard (and funnily enough, I think our mock draft supports this), the value in the draft is in early day 2. The difference between pick #15 and pick #45 feels marginal, which is pretty crazy.Seems like most execs hate this draft.. one exec said they don't have a single QB prospect with a first round grade, and that there's little to no difference from pick 11 to pick 32.
Biggest thing to me is probably that I don't think he can be a full time WR and a part time CB. I think the opposite is doable. I can see Hunter being thrown in for specific Hunter plays on offense. I don't even know what that would entail on defense.I find it interesting the consensus here has been more of Hunter as a CB instead of WR.
WR make significantly more money, and Berry has stated he sees him more as a WR than CB. If I was Hunter I'd be focusing on WR.
That's a fair point, I suppose if he demands to play both ways, and the team says this is the only way to do it, it would make sense.Biggest thing to me is probably that I don't think he can be a full time WR and a part time CB. Pete Carroll wants to run so it wouldn’t surprise me.Looks like the Raiders will pick Ashton Jeanty at pick 6 per mock drafts I've seen.
They need help all over but RB was one of the biggest blights they had last season.
Outside of that, QB/OL/LB/Secondary is a need.

Sadly, no elite edge, OT, CB or WR at 6. Carter and Hunter gone by then. I’d personally lean Will Johnson or Graham over a RB.Looks like the Raiders will pick Ashton Jeanty at pick 6 per mock drafts I've seen.

Weeks ago Daniel Jeremiah said he only had about a dozen guys with a first round grade. Pretty much from the teens onwards it’s about need and fit for teams. Not disbelieving, but where did you see that quote?

Teams want Carter or Hunter. Not calling on Shedeur imo. They are the only 2 guys worth moving up for in this draft.Per Schefter, both Browns and Giants taking calls on their 1st round picks.
How close to the draft were we last year when it came out that the Bears, Commies and Pats had all basically said the picks weren't getting moved? I'm a bit surprised that the Browns and Giants are willing to move off of Hunter and Carter, since they seem to be by far the safest bets in this draft.Teams want Carter or Hunter. This draft really pales in comparison to 2021 for non QBs. Where you had the likes of Chase, Waddell, Smith, Sewell, Slater, Surtain, Horn, Parsons, Pitts, go. Pitts has been the biggest disappointment of that group. Horn, a couple of injuries, but still got paid by Carolina.
The rest of the non QBS in this draft don't really compare to that group above after Carter/Hunter. Johnson might have, if he was as healthy as a JR as he was as a SO.
Not really news, Schefter is just desperate and trying to make something happen.Per Schefter, both Browns and Giants taking calls on their 1st round picks.
I think there is the age old quality vs quantity aspect for these 2 clubs. Browns are both cap strapped and draft pick limited after the Watson trade. They need multiple young cheap starters. Giants, multiple under developed draft picks so need help in a few areas. How close to the draft were we last year when it came out that the Bears, Commies and Pats had all basically said the picks weren't getting moved? No one would turn down the Bryce Young package this year. Have to do the due diligence to see if someone will overpay. The last holdout was the Patriots. The week before the draft, they said they were open to trades. ~5ish days before Round 1, we got the big writeup that they would consider a completely ridiculous offer, but they essentially know they're making the pick.
There are limited players that are worth a trade up. Once Carter and Hunter go, kind of a pickem for the rest of the players who will go by pick 12.Everyone is open to trades because everyone is open to someone else doing something stupid.
