Best player on the ice tonight barring Crosby
He is going to be so damn good... Sees the game at such a high level & has moments of great assertiveness.

As he keeps growing his confidence, the sky is literally the limit.

In 5 seasons from now, he'll be 24. Just entering his prime. Hard to imagine what kind of impact he'll have on the ice with 6 years experience and full physical maturity lol.

Future. Is. BRIGHT 😎

Oh, I see. I guess YOURS is the final word on this. I said all along that I didn't think he was lost and explained why. I think the coaching staff agrees with this as there is no way he would've stayed with the big team otherwise. And that has much more clout than any internet coaches.
Final word? I don’t know what that means. He sucked last year tho.

Seems happy enough dishing the puck, hopefully at some point he will make up his mind to go and score a few as well. I see the delays and sneaky good passes he makes, man it's not that hard to transfer that creativity into scoring goals. Just go for it man.

Good thing he had less OT TOI than Dach until this point. Imagine the damage they’d have done if Marty played him more.
What am I missing, its a 5 minute period and he came on second shift? If he would have started, by that time in the game, his TOI would have been same.

This thread is so much better with everyone on the same page about Slaf. Any debate should be settled by now. (Mod)

It truly is a well deserved love fest for this kid!
This was the move that solidified Hugo as a braintrust imo. He took the unenviable position of taking a winger instead of the "franchise altering" C everyone wanted incl myself..
It's one of those drafts where people would look back and ask how the hell did Slaf go 4th/5th.. and yet Hugo not only got Slaf, but Dach too..
If it were MB, we would have ended up with Wright, no trades.. and la presse patting his shoulders.

Im still not sold on the Mesar pick, but wth do I know? It's for this reason that Rainmkr was absolutely the right pick at 5. Clearly Hugo has identified a culture, and is building around like minded individuals. Pro and minors... makes for a far more efficient depth system.. when the time is right, we will end up with a 1C via trade/picks/cap space.

We're litterally building from the ground up.. just sit back and enjoy the ride.
