Where would you prefer Slaf spend his 23-24 season?

The fact that he was more 'visible' today just exposed even more all his weakness imo
and he also got leveled 2 times during the game, pretty much the same Slaf as last year, I dont see any improvements at all.
first time in his career he put up 6 shots.

He's definitely been better since moving up. But you're still going to see those rookie mistakes. He's still going to rush plays and so forth. It's not going to be a linear improvement and he's going to have off games. What's important is that he continues to improve.

If he doesn't, then he should be moved to the AHL.

It's really important to watch the games, because stats don't tell you everything. For example, having watched the Boston game, I know this person is completely full of shit. If I hadn't watched that game I'd have to take their word for it. But now I know what counts as ''clicking'' for this person, and can safely disregard their opinion from now on. You won't find that in a box score.
haha what? Who is full of shit? What are you talking about man?

You. Slaf sucked in the game against Boston. If that's ''clicking'' to you, then alright bud.
lol that first comment was wild haha, anyways it's whatever man, I see it the way I see it, and maybe I'm just putting all the past 3 games together in my mind, it's not like I'm freaking scouting him lol.

He's looked much better since scoring his first goal and playing in the top 6. If you can't see that then that's how you see it, I'm not here to convince you

Yeah, after Boston game i wrote that Dvorak is really good in opening space for his wingers and finally Slaf, who plays the game at lower speed, got the needed space.
Soon he will stat to convert some shots but don't expect any miracles.

not impressed by the 7 shots , send him down , that 2 on 1 was just awful , one of the worst ive ever seen. He also got absolutely plastered. Im happy he's somewhat progressing but he's gonna hurt himself out there

The 2 on 1 a few minutes into the 1st period, where he absolutely botched the play and the puck?

That one?

Or was there another one I may have missed?

(I didn't watch the whole game)

I thought he was a bit Bambi esque, but he was one of the few helping create. He needs to be faster with the puck, his shot and passing are to slow and I’m not. Sure a trip to the AHL fixes that

If you think and are concerned that Slafkovsky plays the game at a ‘lower speed’ you’re going to ‘love’ Roy’s game.

Man people here are crazy :

Slaf played a monster game ; Slaf was f good tonight ; his best game ever

No he wasnt.

A monster game is scoring 2 goals, 1 assist, 5 hits. What we saw is what should be an average game. He SHOULD always play like against the Canucks. But without falling every 10’mins and while putting up points.

Its like the bar is set so low, then when he connects a pass, make a shot or is witnessable on the ice. People are sooo happy.

can we please stop hyping him up when he just played an ok game?

I have a question , if Anderson also shot 6 times today , does that mean he's about to bloom as Tage Thompson but older?

I'm trying to fit the resemblance with Slaf
I don’t think their game was anything close to similar last game, not sure what you guys are mulling over about the 6 shots.

I have to say the kid has me confused. Best hab forward last night, up from their worse a week ago.

He still crowds the puck carrier a bit on exits in support (going wide seems to be more in fashion). But cripes he really is night and day at coverage compared to last year, and I’m hoping another 60 nhl games with actual coaching to win will help him along fast enough.. He was on the ice to try and to tie it up last night, where MSL has Evans in his spot when protecting the lead. That’s real hockey to me, and good handling of a 19yo

We're talking about Slaf. Not about Bedard or Fantilli or Cooley or Carlsson.
We are still evaluating if Slaf can pass the puck properly or if he can shoot.
He did pass the puck many times and had 6 shots on goal. This was a monster game.
