The Maple Leafs folded and failed miserably to generate quality scoring chances against the Habs in games 6 and especially the do or die game 7.

The offense failed miserably when it mattered most.
Montreal Canadiens vs Toronto Maple Leafs, 20202021 Playoffs

Such a lazy narrative. I agree game 7 they weren’t great, but montreal didn’t deserve to be in game 6. Or the series at all. Carey did absolutely carry them. Pun intended

Ok, lets talk points in the last 3 years as you posted

Miller 28 years old, 1.5 more years at 5.25

19-20 69 games 72 points
20-21 53 games 46 points
21-22 50 games 53 points

Nylander 25 years old 2.5 years more at 6.9

19-20 68 games 59 points
20-21 51 games 42 points
21-22 50 games 47 points

So tell me, are you telling me that Miller is worth a landslide more than Nylander, or do you think Nylander is worth a teams 1st, 2 top prospects and more?

Millers been playing 20-21 minutes a game to put up those totals. He's not getting those minutes on the Leafs. If acquired Miller would be a 2nd line player in Toronto.

I agree with this as well, i was going to say something like that, but i wasn't sure what line/ice time Miller is getting in Van.

I'm surprised the person that made that tweet didn't list more injured players and goalies....would have looked even more valuable!!
He should have saved himself some time and made the very short list of players that outscored him.

Oh for sure….I’m positive it’s only like 1 or 2 players that have outscored him….I mean the Leafs only have 2….and Nylander isn’t that far off….very short list.

He now has 175 points in 173 regular season games as a Canuck.

18 points in 17 playoff games as well.

There is nothing the Leafs can give the Nucks. All small prospects, and they have enough smurfs.

so earlier in the year, JR said that the asking price was (3-4) prospects. (He did actually mention this)

price is now 6-8 prospects, however if you guys give a good offer today we can discount it to 4-5 prospects.

I think the problem is Miller is to valuable. The amount of high quality assets required to land him is to high of a risk for only one and a half years of control. It comes down to are 2 playoff runs with a superstar winger worth losing your two top prospects a 1st and a good roster player Vancouver can use, for me its no because playoffs are a crap shoot. If the team could negotiate and resign him the I think he lands a massive package, because teams will line up for him.

Toronto needs to avoid this, not because Miller is not a good player (he is), but the price will be crazy. It is not worth it. No way Dubas should pay that overpayment.
