I've seen this narrative pushed before, and without question Carey Price was instrumental, but I think you are burying your head in the sand if you think this series was just the Leafs running into a hot goaltender.

They shouldn't be losing to teams like Columbus and Montreal in the post season, but they are. It's not just bad luck.

Oh i won't argue that our "leaders" need to figure out how to lead....but you can't trade for that, it needs to be learned....

sorry lets say majority because most posts I see are leaf fans offering 1st+ garbagevand them not understanding how an extra year adds extra value which is not dermott or a garbage prospect.

I mean @Morgs thinks that miller with 1 and half year left is worth 1st+ garbage prospect + dermott.
Does he not know how to check comparables? Every year at the deadline good players get a 1st+ for 20 games. miller has an extra year.

And he's not the only one. There are a lot of examples of leaf fans offering 1st+ garbage for miller which is what I'm referring too

Last playoffs the issue was Carey Price,,,, by pretty much every metric, the Leafs offensive stats were better than Montreals.

If we face Tampa or Florida...we better fix the D first....

The Maple Leafs folded and failed miserably to generate quality scoring chances against the Habs in games 6 and especially the do or die game 7.

The offense failed miserably when it mattered most.

Yup, sure did... Tavares on the sidelines, and Matthews with a wrist injury that required surgery. That's a big chunk of the teams scoring right there.

Not that the team played well enough, but context is still important.

So tell me, are you telling me that Miller is worth a landslide more than Nylander, or do you think Nylander is worth a teams 1st, 2 top prospects and more?

It's pretty obvious your trolling but over the last 3 years jt miller has been ppg. What do you think a center who is ppg and has 1 and half year left at a steal of a deal is worth?

Rick dhaliwal (Canuck insider) has basically kiboshed this rumour. Said the leafs checked in on miller and have decide to go in another direction (likely D help). Which makes sense to me.

I'm not trolling at all, i also have not made one offer (because i don't want the Leafs to overpay for a forward in the 1st place). I don't think he gets traded, but if he does...and this is just my opinion, a lot of Canucks fans will be disappointed with the return, and that's just based on evaluations i have read. I may end up totally wrong....it's happened before.
