As terrible as he’s been (and he’s been terrible) he’s still pacing for about 48pts over 82games.

He’s going to end up signing a 1 year deal for a team down south with no pressure and putting up 60-70pts next year.

He has had two 53 pt seasons in his younger days.............he can't shoot the puck, he is scared to go to the net, and stays away from being physical.
And you think he can get 60-70 pts now? Hasn't scored a PP goal in over 3 years......plum TOI and all.

No other team will put him on the ice as much as the habs have.....

But why are you asking for this? No one said Drou was a star or even a huge impact player...
Because I want to see his best moments as a Hab -- simple as that. I already said it earlier, I couldn't think of any of his best moments so I'm asking people.

Do you really think only star and huge impact players can have highlights and good moments for their team?

I mean fine! There's none! And what's your point?

Drouin has never produced a 60 point season in his entire NHL career. You really think he's going to do that now, especially considering it would have to be almost entirely assists?

He would never do it here.

Just wait and see. This is just the way things work out for us.

Can you name five highlights from Drouin's time with the Habs?

It's a simple question. He's considered a skill player (he's not considered a grinder, or powerforward, or defensive forward, etc.), many people go out of their way to lament how he's underperformed relative to his talent, maybe some people even take it for granted that he's a talented hockey player with good hands -- can you point me to five highlights from his time as a Hab that demonstrates this?

See this is the thing, this is exactly why people lament the disappointment of the trade. Because we never got what was expected from such an obviously skilled player. However you're coming off as if he's not only not talented but rather that he never was.

He came in hyped as a junior went to Tampa played well, and then had a fallout with the bolts and got himself traded here for a fan favourite, with these expectations of some sort of french saviour (which was completely unfair) but never materialized and now through that disappointment people are looking for their pound of flesh. We get it, we're all disappointed with the result, but to say he has no talent is mind boggling to me. Nevermind the character assasination that goes on here on this site of another human being. Hence the frustration.

Disregard the final message on last video, it's not my narrative. Just trying to express the disappointment of what could have been.

And why exactly would that be some sort of lunacy? He's 29 years old not 69 years old ffs!
How many players, playing in their 10th or later NHL season, under a one year "show me" minimum salary contract (with the ice time that comes with it) have the type of career year we are talking about here?

That’s kind of what I’m getting at, the amount of pressure that was put on him once he got here from some fans/media (mostly Franco) and then shuffling him from wing-to-Center under bad coaching did this guy no favours. You factor in that the guy struggles badly with mental health and you have the perfect melting pot for the guy to fail.

That’s why I’m suggesting if he went to a team like Florida for example on a show-me deal, I do believe he could score 60pts because he would be so far removed from the spotlight and also be surrounded by players that can score.

He was never a good fit here, and his career may have gone completely different elsewhere. A lot of it has to do with between the ears, it’s why a lot of local guys never come play here.

Humiliated, give me break. Men need to man up nowadays, no more man-buns, earrings, shaving their legs, mani/pedi, dyeing their hair, when did men start wanting to be woman?

Yea, man buns are a funny thing

I don't know man. Each and every time we thought Drouin was turning it around and becoming competitive he found himself on the IR. This is what we do know. It can no longer be considered a coincidence.

I hope he finishes this season strong and then starts fresh next season somewhere else .He is taking a spot from the future and Hughes can let him walk .
Still unfortunately have Hoffman, Galleger.

I feel like Hoffman can be moved with 50% retained or a buyout. We need that roster spot for the young guys.

And MSL loves him like Therrien loved Desharnais.

Drouin's career as a hab in a nutshell. I've said it multiple times, one of his biggest faults was his inability to say on the ice. Every time he was turning a corner and producing, he'd end up hitting a dead end full stop. Too much weight on his shoulders and a self fulfilling prophecy? Who knows.

I was thinking more along the lines of unsustainable durability when attempting to become a high event player.

Like Monahan this season, I expect to see Hoffman get plenty of ice time to start next season as well as pp time. Wouldn't be surprised if he played in the top 6 to make sure he has good value for the Trade deadline. That'sof course assuming he isn't moved this summer

Which of the following top 9 wingers would you like to see moved out of the top 9 so that Hoffman can be showcased?

Caufield - Slaf
Farrell - Gurianov
RHP - Anderson
