Not often but I agre with him this time. It was an unnessary humiliation, it could have been resolved anothey way, out of the cameras. The medias are way too important about this sport, everything is blowned out of proportion. Why humiliate a player who suffured mental depression? Drouin have 17 more games to play for the Habs and after bye-bye. That wasn't the best public relation done by the Habs. They could have been more professional.

If you want someone to change, sometimes, you got to go to extreme. Believe it or not, a movement like that could only benefit Drouin in the future.

If he can't learn the lesson after that, he never will. But at least, they tried everything they could.

Rask never played for teams that were half as bad as the Canadiens were from 2017-2022. Boston always had good to strong teams during his entire tenure. And Lundqvist is a first ballot HOFer who a lot of people would put ahead of Price. A lot of Price’s inconsistencies came after Bergevin nuked the team in the summer of 2017. That and his injuries were adding up in his 30’s. But everyone around him still knew who he was. Crosby said Price was the goaltender teams feared the most in a playoff series and following that comment he led a 24th place Habs team past the Penguins and carried complete dog shit to a SCF. A certain section of this fanbase likes to pretend he’s Jose Theodore. Look at his list of achievements outside of just that 2015 season to see that’s not even close to the case.

Disgusting how an all-time great is treated by some fans. Carey sucked when the team was going nowhere. The second he had a shot at being the best in the world and carrying this sorry bunch, he was all fire and carried the sorry bunch like only one or two players could do in the past 25 years.

You might be right. In bold : that's the hard reality. I get influence by the media around this. This doesn't touch my life, I don't know them and they don't know me.

This is on a level of symbolic. The humilation of Drouin represents the humiliation that I could have to live thru, or you or some dude at his job or school. Collectivly we all live that soap opera circus and we feel things and we discuss about it. Maybe we should get distant about this and chill.

I can't answer this because I don't know Drouin. I'm not his therapist. I post messages with my life background and my limited knowledge of this team. I even have limited kowledge on how to deal with things like this. But I could read here and there, watch sport comments, etc. I built my opinion progressively.

The rest of the career of Drouin I don't care that much. He will be gone. But this team will have future cases like this and I'm a bit concerned how they will deal with this.

Drouin bulked up the summer he got traded here . He was much faster in tampa. That was a huge mistake because he definitely lost the extra step needed to complete plays/passes.

Having played elite sports , athletes often underestimate the importance of speed and flexibility , and prioritize strength and mass over it , which is a big mistake . Speed kills !!

I blame Bergevin for that, I'm sure Drouin bulked up because he was advised by Bergy he was going to try and convert him to center. They both probably felt the extra strength/weight would have helped in that regard. The whole idea was stupid to begin with and destined for failure.
