Do we know if he can talk.Dave Scott doesn’t talk. He’s been put in front of cameras like twice in the last five years.
Maybe it's a Weekend At Bernie's situation?

I can’t take anything off the table with this franchise at this point.Do we know if he can talk.

Yea if he really cared he'd have been at the town hall.Dave Scott doesn’t talk. He’s been put in front of cameras like twice in the last five years.
John Tortorella, the guy who thinks Cates is a 1C, has repeatedly voiced his disgust for young skill players, and thinks playing 2 defensemen in OT is smart:

Trying to win with bad forwards is better than just sitting back, giving up, and waiting to lose with bad defensemen. With the slop on this roster playing 2D/1F makes sense in that it increases the possibility of shutting down an opponent’s scoring chances. Aside from one forward being TK, there probably isn’t another forward that Torts could put out on the ice with him that might be able to generate a scoring chance. That guy would probably end up turning it over and creating a scoring chance against.

Man who rails against the most effective scoring tactics shocked team can't score
“I’m not sure it’s good for the game.”This is a man who literally complains when someone scores a goal that is too showy.
You are never going to shut down the top offensive players in the league in 3v3. They will just pass around you. Thinking you can is a fool’s errand. With the slop on this roster playing 2D/1F makes sense in that it increases the possibility of shutting down an opponent’s scoring chances. It helps to have players who can play offense.
He's put his three best offensive forwards on one line
He's got his two veteran scorers and Allison on his other line.
He's moved Laughton and Cates to an "energy" line.
Got any other options with this roster?
And who would you trust in OT?
Frost, Tippett, Cates, Laughton, Farabee?
Have you seen Hayes and JVR skate 3 on 3?
I forgot to check last night, since I missed the Carolina/Montreal OT, but this post reminded me.The 2D OT issue has the same timbre to it as the 2PT/XP football discussion. You can maximize decisions to win games or you can maximize them to go as long as possible without losing. They are not the same thing.

Carolina occasionally rolls 2D in OT. Last night they started OT with Burns and Skjei, which lasted for 27 seconds and they didn't run 2D again in OT.
Burns (0-0:29)-Skjei (0-0:27)
Slavin (0:29-1:44)
Ghost (1:44-2:57)
Burns (2:57-3:38)
Pesce (3:38-3:59)
Burns (3:59-4:49)
Skjei (4:49-5:00)
I haven't followed everyone closely enough this year, but it does amuse me that the team tied for first in OT/SO wins seems to be the only other team that regularly runs 2D in OT, if only for a little bit. I think they often start with 2D and use it only for the first shift, but I'm too lazy to go through older games to confirm...
Was that a Brindy coached team, or pre-Brindy?I checked Carolina specifically before and found that the one previous year they consistently used 2D all OT was the one in which their record sucked.
