So it's possible to play better with younger players who may not be 100% developed? And that may in fact help them sooner rather than later?

Someone call the SVUs. There's been a break in the case.
If you have a HC who keeps them focused. And you don't force them into the lineup before they're ready.

Buffalo is a good example of a team that has had a lot of young talent over the past decade and still managed to suck. One reason I think is that bad teams feel forced to play young talent before they're NHL ready to placate fans.

So Alain Vigneault was a horrible coach! This is progress! I'm so proud of you!

He was an unrepentant asshole too, but I'll take the progress and be happy with it.
I've said repeatedly he mailed it in after the first season when he realized his chance at a Cup was nil.

But he did do a good job his first year, though it may have been the "dead cat bounce" new HCs often get in the NHL before their team tunes them out. Gallant has made that into a career defining move.

You draft skill people high, you "fill in" with low cost FAs, cheap trade acquisitions and later round picks.

Your bottom six forwards should do most of the dirty work, b/c ideally you don't want your skill people on the top two lines spending a lot of time on the PK (b/c if you play an aggressive PK, it takes a lot of energy, and if you play a box, they end up blocking a lot of shots).

Can't wait for Torts to have a bigger say on the roster. He really gets it! A rebuilding team needs to focus on giving money and term and ice-time to PK specialists, which always works out well enough. That's the key, not those damned Gaudreau types.

Morgan Frost was an elite CHL and AHL PKer, but he has 9 minutes this season on the PK. Was it a disaster? No, he actually has more scoring chances FOR than against. Just 1 goal against. Tippett, for whatever reason on the PK, has 7 goals against in 19 minutes. But they're "developing" him.

Yeah but I'm told this team isn't biased against Frost. Have you considered that?

Braindead dinosaur.

Once again bitching about a small/skill player and fetishizing defense. He doesn’t understand the sport at the most basic level.

All his groupies should be embarrassed.
just our luck we finally banish the old bois club and Torts steps right in their place and we keep on keepin on with no skill grinders...
