What universe do you live in? CBJ's GM is worse than Fletcher.
This is the guy who starts a rebuild by trading Seth Jones, then trades for Voracek and signs JG and Gudbranson.
Doesn't know if he's coming or going.

Gudbranson was horrible. The rest of those include a solid bet, an actual star for nothing other than cap space, and an absolutely fantastic Jones trade.

You didn’t even include his worst recent move here. Sometimes I think we pay attention to different sports.

Jones sucks, so that was a win
Voracek for Atkinson saved a year of bad contracts, win. And now a huge win because they are totally out of the contract altogether while we are stuck with it for years still
Voracek was luck, he was worse than Atkinson last season, injured this season and would have been an $8.25M albatross if he was less susceptible to concussions.

Can't credit or blame GMs for post-deal good or bad luck.

My point was his moves were an obvious sign he has no long-term strategy, just a bunch of knee jerk moves.

Fletcher has no long-term strategy and runs on knee jerking, and he's a worse talent evaluator.

I'm sure Torts has distanced himself as far as possible from Fletcher.
Note he called Briere "brilliant," Fletcher, radio silence.

He's become aware how dysfunctional the organization has become.

He said yesterday that he, Fletcher, and Scott are on the same page…

I’m sure that will be discounted as coach speak though.

I’ve got no problem with deadhead, but his storylines about Holmgren being in charge after he was forced out, about a rift between Torts & Fletcher… a lot of gap filling with folklore.

The only way I'll believe they're on the same page is when Scott comes out and says we screwed up and learned our lesson, we're going to listen to John and commit to rebuilding this team the right way.

You don't have a good understanding of Tortorella. He knows his role in the power structure. He does as he's told. That's why we got Braun on the wing.
