It's natural. I've had 2 concussions in my life and the 2nd one, when I was about 15, I slipped on ice and fell back and was knocked out cold. When woken up, I immediately tried to get up even with people trying to keep me down.

Yeah my buddy Pete said immediately after the impact I popped back up mumbling incoherently while doing the boxer bambi leg stagger, then fell down and fought everyone from my back.

Not gonna lie, I was kind of impressed with my body's survival mode hahaha.

Not unusual for people to go into fight or flight in that moment. You can’t process what just happened, you’re an old dell computer that’s rebooting.

Had the same thing happen to me in football. Got blindsided, by a teammate no less, and when I came to I was trying to jump up and get back in. Coach asked me, a fullback, to play qb. As soon as I answered yea he told me to sit down and take my helmet off I was done.

Not making light of your situation, but that's funny that the coach asked you to play QB. Pretty intuitive coach.

Nearly all hockey plays happen fast requiring quick reaction and players have no issue making the play. It’s a tough call, but if you watched Perry for a decade+ in the Pacific division you know accidental on purpose is his bread and butter. If it was another player I give the benefit of the doubt, but I am suspect to say the least.

Leafs and Habs fans haven’t watched enough Perry to know. But this play is definately in his wheel house. Although I don’t think he’d expect the results to look so horrid.
Has he actively kneed someone in the head moving 20+ miles an hour before? Or are we taking a player to toes on the line and blowing his dirty play out of proportion to justify a crazy imagination?

I'm hoping Tavares' "fainting" is a result of low blood pressure from getting up too fast rather than neurological damage from the collision.

Wife (nurse) seemed to think it was a possibility.

I'm hopeful, but not optimistic.

Perry is a dirty POS player
But there was nothing he could have don’t there
Him trying to avoid hitting Tavares probably made it worse though

I hope he's OK (clearly not), and more players would play the puck. NHL playoffs have turned into Thunder Dome this year.

Almost killing someone you know has that effect that does not really relate to anything else tho.
Umm ya if it was intentional he would not show remorse as he obviously would of intended on causing injury. The fact he was visibly shaken is an indicator it was an accident. Along with the eye test of almost every single person who saw it that is

How you are still trying to blame Perry in any way is ridiculous to say the least. I get it your a fan and are upset but sometimes shit just happens in life for no good reason.
