I don't think they were trying to rig the game for Calgary. I think they were trying to get a goal in an outdoor, marquee game. They didn't want it to go to a 0-0 shootout, and got loose on the rule to get a goal on the board.

I'll take the win. Still not enough offense being generated by this team at 5 on 5 and on the PP but our defensive play was pretty solid. They are going to have to find the right balance as this team isn't built to win 1 nil and 2 to 1.

Helle was great.

Morrissey with a much better game. Played a lot more like himself and logged huge minutes. Poolman was better defensively but still is prone to stupid decisions on the breakout.

Pionk with another nice game. The other dmen weren't all that noticeable.

Top 6 struggled trying to get anything going the first two periods but played better in the third.

Lowry with a stupid hit that should be suspended. The rest of his line played well though.

They completely outplayed the Flames in the 3rd. Rest of the game seemed pretty even.

As much as it’s frustrating to watch, we had many games in our best season two years ago, that were extremely low scoring and we won at the end. In those days Laine was the only player scoring (literally) for stretches at a time.

if we are going to have low scoring games and win doing it, I’m good with that

My hope is that everyone hits their stride soon and regardless of lines, we can just get some consistent play.

Loved that speed of KC on the gwg and Little is still fast enough to finish those plays obviously.

Patrik isn’t scoring but if he’s racking up assists, then someone is and that’s all that matters.

I hope some day he starts shooting again.

Kind of a weird game. For a lot of it the Flames really weren’t threatening in the least offensively but they play an aggressive checking game that I sometimes wish the Jets could match

Heritage outfits - look great. Not 100% sold on the red pants but the overall effect is impressive.

Hell boy and Roslo were outstanding all game, this has been said many times. Overall, our third line is a keeper.

I must say.... the post-game interview with Maurice was very entertaining, that dude has a hell of a future in analysis and colour commentary when he finally is put to pasture.

Final analysis....I enjoyed that production, good on the Sask flat landers for putting on a great show.

Game started at 4 in the morning for me, so caught up today. Ice seemed slow but good to see another great game from Helle, Laine, MP85 and Roslo and to see the Jerts get stronger as the game went on -- a pattern we've seen a few times already this year and one that bodes at least as well as its frustrating inverse.

Congrats to Regina for running a great event, and even to the national media for acknowledging that. Let's build on this one.

I thought Little was actually much better this game than I remember in, like, years. Even the line looked good.

He's probably feeling healthy and has a bit of a chip on his shoulder after all the smack being talked about him. Looked quick in all aspects - thinking, agility, speed and passing

Helly in Vezina form often the only reason we ever win.
