That was one of the most impressive games of Roslovic's career at 5 on 5. I know he had that game against the Sharks where he scored a hattrick on the PP but tonight he was dynamite at even strength. CLR line looks fantastic. Lowry looks like the weight of the world has been lifted off his shoulders now that he is no longer playing with Borque/Letestu.

Connor and Little continue to look solid.

Now that we are 12 games into the season, I must admit that Pionk has exceeded expectations. He is probably never going to be a Trouba replacement but hopefully he can keep this up and atleast be an upgrade on the likes of Myers/Chiarot/Kulikov in a 2nd pairing role.

3:16 ice time for Gustafsson with a total of 6 shifts. Sad! Unless Maurice was trolling and trying to make a Stonecold Steve Austin reference, just send him down and let him get some real icetime. Why can't Suess or Spacek fill that 4th line role?

But he was also not upright, so it's actually pretty hard to say for 100% that it was a high stick. And if it's not 100% sure, but only 99% sure, the only thing you can do is to go with the original call: goal.

Sucks, but what can you do with the evidence. Two days ago Laine's FEL team had also similar goal against. Again I'm pretty sure that it was a high stick, but not 100% sure, so it was "a good goal". They are using "smart puck" tracking system in FEL (it's coming to NHL as well AFAIK), but at least for now it cannot be used for checking high stick plays.


I was pretty frustrated most of the game, but you could almost feel how the team was relieved by that Morrissey goal and after that things were quite smooth. That wasted PP on OT was face palm worthy, as it did seem that the only guy on ice that was able to pass for an one-timer was the guy you would like to shoot those one-timers. Morrissey and Scheifele, it's actually not *THAT* hard to pass for an one timer. Heck, I could do better. But as soon as Little & Connor made that GWG, I had absolutely no complaints anymore for the team.

(Maurice should be fired though. Bitetto and Dahlström again over Heinola, and ridiculous TOP-6 formation, with even more ridiculous line blenders (27-55-26 to 27-55-29 for 2 shifts(!) and then to 81-55-26. What a genious).)

Roslovic continues to play well. Maybe one day try 27-28-29 line? Number magic.

EDIT: I laughed when after Morrissey scored and had a leg pumping celebration, and right after that Scheifele was just so excited that he did a copy cat celebration, and I think it was partially unintentional. Just so much stress was relieved on that moment.

Little is still the best 2nd line center on this team , great pass from Connor , great tip by Little . Roslovic is looking very good this season so far and i really hope he eventually gets to be the 2nd line center we drafted . Leaving for LA and Vegas right now , try and stay positive , positive posters and keep cheering on our Jets . In my best Arnie voice , "I'LL BE BACK" Oh and i'll be arguing with as many Vegas fans as possible .

Just for the record, Fele was 17/26 last night, 6/7 in the offensive zone, and 4/5 on the pp last night.

Only caught the last period and ot, but man they need to completely rethink that 1pp. 4 on 3 just amplified how uncreative things can be. No movement and no quick pass combinations. All the pk has to do is stand still on the shooting lanes.

This is such a normal phenomenon in sports, first things just work well organically, then you find a specific thing that works, feast on it untill it stops working because it kills the creativity, and then you either start over or don't want to let go and continue banging your head against the wall hoping some day it'll start working again which won't happen. Been in the last stage for long enough now, don't understand why nothing has been done. They should just completely mix up pp1 and pp2 and start from scratch.

I wouldn't read too heavily into how a team's 4 on 3 PP looks; no team has as good one. Seriously, they practise it so little that all it amounts to is passing it around the perimeter to try and open up a one-timer or a point shot. That's it. The PP needs to get going, though.
