Prospect Info: Jets Prospects

Good to see Big Bad Brad, or Triple B, finally playing some games against his peers..

Now just get the kid on the ice as much as possible. He needs to play big minutes and touch the puck consistently for the next 3 months to start building his confidence and reminding him he is good at hockey.

Biggest surprise season of our prospects imo. I think he definitely has earned himself an ELC.
I want to be optimistic but his team is second in the league in GF. They have a lot of fire power and you just hope it isn't the Zach Fucale syndrome where the teams performance mistakenly inflates his pedigree.

That said he may well just be a very good goalie on a very good team. In any case, I am happy for him for having a great season so far

An ELC seems like a real possibility. Jets have only 42/50 contracts on the books and an ELC really doesn't cost much otherwise. He can slide another year anyways. So some signing bonus money and some minor league money to see if he pans out.

I mean he was picked near the end of the draft. We lose nothing signing him and seeing if he can carve out a pro career.

Also unlike Fucle it isn't just wins, he's at the top of league in save% and GAA. (2nd among starters in both categories)

Probably best for him. Playing here on a minor league team for $70K probably wouldn’t end well and he isn’t exactly killing it in the K.

Rashevsky is the type of player I envision fully developing in Russia. At some point ”if” he gets good enough he comes over to play in the NHL. Guys like Kaprizov and Panarin took that route But Rash would need to take a big jump next season. He will be 23 in October and he has one maybe two more seasons before he is either good enough or its not going to happen.

That is what I see happening with him as well.

I think it would be good for Rashevsky to stay another year or two with Dynamo.

Since it is the pause in the season, I am wondering what people think of the future of some Jets prospects.

For Jared Moe, he's in his senior year at Wisconsin, so the Jets would have to sign him soon, posting a respectable 2.70 GAA and .913 SV% on the last place Badgers, but do the Jets go ahead and sign him? You would think Salminen and Holm are still the Moose goalies next year?

Harrison Blaisdell was a prospect who came with some praise, and looked promising entering at UND, but has regressed since joining the University of New Hampshire. 3 pts, -7 in 23 games this season, also his senior year.

Austin Wong is a junior this year, I'm not sure if he redshirted a year, but he has 1 goal and is -7, in 20 games at Harvard this year.

Anton Johannesson I can't find any information on. He isn't playing at HV71's junior team this year, he doesn't seem to be playing anywhere after starting the season in the prospects tournament.
