Prospect Info: Jets Prospects

Since it is the pause in the season, I am wondering what people think of the future of some Jets prospects.

For Jared Moe, he's in his senior year at Wisconsin, so the Jets would have to sign him soon, posting a respectable 2.70 GAA and .913 SV% on the last place Badgers, but do the Jets go ahead and sign him? You would think Salminen and Holm are still the Moose goalies next year?

Harrison Blaisdell was a prospect who came with some praise, and looked promising entering at UND, but has regressed since joining the University of New Hampshire. 3 pts, -7 in 23 games this season, also his senior year.

Austin Wong is a junior this year, I'm not sure if he redshirted a year, but he has 1 goal and is -7, in 20 games at Harvard this year.

Anton Johannesson I can't find any information on. He isn't playing at HV71's junior team this year, he doesn't seem to be playing anywhere after starting the season in the prospects tournament.
Anton Johannesson has 21 points in 26 games in HockeyEttan, Sweden's 3rd tier men's league.

Who would you rate as the better prospect, Lambert or Lucius?

While we’re at it, what do you project Chisholm to become?

Lambert has the better athletic gifts but Lucious processes the game a lot better.

My guess is it depends how much risk you are ok with. I think if Lambert puts all of his ability together he could be an Ehlers type elite player but I'd peg the chances of that happening as miniscule at this point.

Lucious is smarter bet due to his hockey IQ. He reads the game really well and has the skill to convert when he gets his chances. My main concern is his pace of play. He can play at the slow pace he likes in junior and to a less extent in college but he was largely ineffective trying to slow the game down in the AHL. Now maybe next year he comes back better and more ready to exert himself at the AHL but it is a concern of mine.

Chisholm ita hard to get a read on since we haven't seen him this year in the NHL. His offense keeps progressing in the AHL and imo the more direct way he plays has a good chance of translating when you factor in his size and high end skating. His defensive play has been inconsistent this year. When he's on he's a very good two-way dmen but when he's not he can get carved up in his end. I'd like to see him gain consistency in that part of his game. I think there is an NHL player in there but he needs a ru of games in order to know foresure. Maybe a Mike Matheson type if he can translate.

I’m one of Lambert’s biggest critics. Wasn’t happy about the Jets selecting him on draft day and was less and less enthused with his time with the Moose and then the WJHC as he was largely ineffective, seeming like a wasted 1st round pick.

Now, while I’m still skeptical of his IQ and ability to play at a professional level it sure is nice to see him have some success and flash those skills he very clearly has.

It would be a great turnaround story if he could keep this up the remainder of the season and into a long run at the Memorial Cup.

Watched the Thunderbirds game and Lambert was

I doubt Moe signs with Jets, or maybe it is the other way around but either way I don't expect him to be signed with Jets.

Can't say Blaisdell has "regressed" with UNH. But he hasn't done anything. Don't see anyone signing him.

Auston Wong will get a nice degree from Harvard, maybe play for the Wall Street team in a beer league where he will be suspended for excessive violence.

Lambert saved our ass tonight. We kind of suck with PPG and the OT winner took it right up the gut and finished!

There is an issue if Lambert is not on our #1 PP line

That OT winner was pretty. Not sure if that is the way you want your guys to play in OT but as long as it works, it is great.

At the end of the day, I think that you can't refute that Lambert has all thr physical tools. It's crazy to think that he's been playing against men for the past few years yet people have written him off because he hasn't had thr same success as players his age who have been playing against their peers.

Since he was taken 30th overall, I'm curious as to how people think the 29 skaters taken ahead of him would have done in Liga last year and the AHL this year. We saw that slaf and Wright clearly aren't at the point where they can hang in the NHL (although Wright put up 4 goals in 5 games in the A).

Let BBB continue his development on the "normal" path that any other late first round pick would take and let's gauge his progress accordingly

I really like Lambert playing with Korchinski. Both of Lambert’s goals had an assist from Korchinski.

Interesting they they tried Lambert at Center. I wonder if they are worried about Gustafson, or they see some level of skill by Lambert that would benefit him at center.

It felt like Everett was a little loose on Lambert, letting him skate that close. I mean if they are giving you that path, I think it was a good shot to take.

OT always feel fast and loose due to the fact it’s 3 on 3

He was risking losing possession, which is everything in 3 on 3 when he had open teammates to pass to. But it worked, so it was the right choice. This time.

He also didn’t have great success directly against his peers in wj.

He was on the right track at thr one that got cancelled half way through. But you're right, the next two weren't noteworthy.

Remember that traditionally outside of the top players, that's a tournament for 20 year olds and he was 18.

It’s good to see Brad doing well in his first few games with Seattle. This is exactly what he needs.

I just realized he has a December birthday, which is a disadvantage when going against your own peers that could have several months more development. You could almost consider 17 year olds his direct competition

Hopefully Brad continues his early success and gains confidence in his game. The skill is there
