Prospect Info: Jets Prospects

19 years old and has already had ankle, knee, and now shoulder surgery.....jesus. Sure doesnt scream durability.

Nope. We can still hope he is just having a string of bad luck - but some people are just more brittle than others.

I'm uninformed. Can someone explain why Lucius was taken out of college?

It would be a great turnaround story if he could keep this up the remainder of the season and into a long run at the Memorial Cup.

To me it's more like a non story. There was never much doubt that Lambert would be great at the level of Canadian juniors. It's what he does after that, with a little more maturity, which will be more telling.

The slimmest of silver linings is we are now very unlikely to lose Lucius in any TD teals.

Not sure taken out of college is the right term? More like he left college. I'm pretty sure the Jets would have preferred he stayed in college given where he is in his development.

his parents have serious pull and he and his camp didnt like how his injury was handled. it's why his younger bro decommitted too

sucks to hear about another injury though

Lucius short career has already been hampered heavily by injuries. He missed significant time during his lone college season, suffering a hand injury and later had ankle surgery. Before that, Lucius injured his knee at the U-16 level and required surgery in 2020, putting him in a wheelchair and forcing him to re-learn how to walk and skate again. So adding shoulder surgery at such a young age is a big blow for the skilled, goal-scoring forward.

what is the football saying? hurt in college likey will be hurt in the pros. hopefully he bounces back though with no issue.

Coaches/teams rarely know the full extent of an injury when asked that night or in the following couple days. It isn't until further tests are done and specialists are consulted before the full extent of injuries are known. Saying that too bad for the kid.

Sure - but just say that you won't know until the Drs have been consulted. Don't mislead everyone by suggesting it is minor when the reality is simply that it is unknown. Call it unknown.

I don’t disagree with this. Too often they probably think it is something relatively minor then comes the bad news after further testing.

His WJ and WHL play would have made Lucius pretty desirable at the TDL in a deal for a ‘big name’ acquisition.

Wonder if this latest injury setback has other teams shying away from him.

I had my doubts that he’d even be successful at this level because he’s shown next to nothing against the best of his peers at the past two WJHC tournaments.

Of course they will shy away. Too many questions when you can ask for another similar level prospect.

Now confirmed

So many weird things going on here.

Rashevsky is the leading goal scorer and 2nd in points despite having 0 goals and 4 assists in the past 23 games, yet he hasn't played above the 3rd line this season. Why would he want to re-sign? Why wouldn't they want their top scorer playing with more talented players? Did they hold him down and use it as a bargaining chip? I'm curious to see if he moves into the top 6 now that he's signed.

Rashevsky hasn't moved up from the 3rd line, but O'Dell returns as his center and Rashevsky gets a primary assist minutes into the game.
Thanks for the update. By the way, have you heard anything about Chibrikov? I haven’t kept my tabs on him for a while

He keeps shuttling between KHL VHL and MHL depending on who's playing. KHL seems to get priority which is weird because they don't bother to give him ice time. You'd figure that they'd be able to find a non-developing player to sit on the bench. He's playing there right now on his KHL team and is listed as the 13th forward.

The KHL is not a development league. It has been strange though.
