I don't see the logic in dumping Evander Kane yet. Choosing Claude Noel over Evander Kane would be a grave mistake if the team actually did that.

Trade Jokinen and Setoguchi and replace them with young callups and see where that takes the team.

This should be our lines after the deadline

Ladd------Little---------Wheeler
Tangradi--Scheifele----JC Lipon
Halischuck-O'Dell-------Peluso
Wright-----Lowry-------Thorburn

Enstrom-------Trouba
Pardy----------Redmond
Melchiory------Ellerby

Montoya
Pasquale/Okhinura

Trade Kane, Bogo, Buff for packages of 1st round picks/prospects
Trade Frolik, Joki, Seto for packages of 2nd round picks/prospects
Trade Pavelec to Islanders for a 2nd round pick if possible
Trade Clitsome for 3rd/4th round pick
Trade Stuart for anything you can get for him
Trade Slater if he's healthy for whatever you get
Consider trading Wheeler/Little if someone is willing to overpay

Hire Guy Boucher next season.

Time to blow it up and rebuild Sabres style.

This is Edmonton style rebuild. We all see how well that is turning out for them, year 5 of first overall contending. That's NOT the model you want to follow.

What's the fascination with Lipon? He is a 3rd line forward at AHL level, scoring well below a similiar player in Machacek scored at in his rookie AHL season. He has A LONG way to go to being a serviceable bottom 6er, nevermind top 6 (doubt he ever plays top 6).

Didn't see the game thankfully, but with the above proposed "rebuild", Frolik needs to be re-signed, you win with guys like that. The problem is he's asked to do too much on this team and still produces.

I don't understand the fascination with O'Dell. Sure, he probably deserves a callup, but if he doesn't succeed I'm sure the blame will be placed on Noel rather than him. He reminds me of those Alex Giroux, Dustin Boyd type of players. Too good for the A but I don't think he'll do well in the NHL. Again, just a hypothesis at the moment, as he should be brought up. Would love to be wrong on him.

I guess the other thing to mention is the two horrid changes by the dmen, and then to start the third we had two dmen down low trying to create a chance, so you think two guys would cover for them, think again. It seems this team does not read and react well out there, they over back check, don't cover d's and change at horrid times, and in your own zone, shoudln't guys be abe to switch and play all five positions if a shift goes awry, just seems like basic hockey to me and these NHLers cant figure it out.

You have to believe there will be new blood inserted into the lineup for next game. The status quo is unthinkable. That and/or a coaching change. A line MUST have been crossed today.

If its status quo im not going to the game. But watch Pav start again and no new blood up front

Tough week at the office.

Blues aside Getting schooled by better "younger" teams from within our division that are on their way up makes me realize this could be a long term problem.

On a side note Garret's article was responsible for Hustlechuk's goal and his injury.

Even Lawless is rambling on twitter

@garylawless: if #nhljets r considering firing noel, and I don't think they are, I think Chevy owes the coach a trade or some form of help b4 clipping him

@garylawless: my guess is #nhljets management knows what they have and that coach isn't too blame right now. they'll stand pat. team isn't ready to win.

@garylawless: two areas #nhljets are lacking right now are leadership and talent. coach doesn't have a magic wand to fix this. draft and develop is slow

Let's just keep Noel for 15 years to make sure he had a REAL chance.

Hey does anyone have a pic of the Bobble Head of Pavs, and in the box does it come with a hook?

If #55 gets a Bobble, his will probably come with a bench. Right?

I think Noel's clock is ticking. The only question is does he finish the season or not ? I'm not even sure what's better. Hiring your new coach in the offseason or bringing in new blood this year to allow new system player evaluation to start in the lame duck half of the season?
