Chevy just extended for 5 years. He's gonna get at least 1 coaching change and likely at least 3 years before he's even remotely close to the chopping block. Remember the model Chipman seemed to like was Nashville who've only ever had 1 coach and 1 GM. Chevy's here for awhile but I get the feeling Noel's days are numbered.

How many Stanley Cups has Nashville won?

Are you serious??? Chevy has done an outstanding job since taking over this team, by getting rid of rediculous contracts from the Thrasher days and making great draft picks over the first 3 off seasons(Don't just judge the 1st round picks, look deeper).

If anything its Coaching and the Players on this roster that dont put a fire under their ass every night and there's only one way of fixing that and it certainly isnt firing our GM

I'm 100% serious. Chevy's drafting has been fine, although I'm in the Couturier > Scheifele crowd. The Sutter pick looks to be a disaster.

It's the contracts and Free Agent pickups that worry me. His moves I'd consider a "win"...Ladd's contract, Wellwood 2 years at 1M per, Frolik. Little I'd say is a "push" because he's performing at his contract level. The Oduya trade is hard to assess at this point, but he had an excellent playoff with Chicago. The "losses"...Jokinen, giving up a second rounder plus $3M for a Seto whose career got propped up by being on Thorntons line, Clitsome contract, the Burmi mess, Wheeler and Enstrom's contracts. Bogo's contract will be dictated on his health. I'm not going to even touch Pavelec's contract...

I'd really like to hear how Chevy explained this year's roster would make playoffs.

You make some good points drumzan, I don't think Chevy is getting the blame he should but I also, Chevy was pushed down Chevys throat.

After KHL season is up.

As I'm pretty sure he has an out for his final year of contract.

The way Burmi was treated by this organization, don't think he comes back. He will come back to the NHL but not to Winnipeg.

i'm a fan of burmi, but other than what i think was misuse by Noel last year, I don't see how you can state he was mistreated (at least to the point where he wouldn't consider coming back, if the team wanted him).

Just listened to the Wheeler and Ladd interviews: I don't think I've heard more honest, frustrated player interviews before. Definitely didn't have the media shields up. Wow.

Hard to imagine that some sort of shake-up isn't in the works - combine those interviews with Chevy's reactions to those goals, and...

Agreed, seems to be some real issues up there.

While no Coyote fan is a fan of Wheeler, if I remember correctly he put some of it on himself and as hard as it is to say - that's commendable.
