So how he was?
Struble was as he always has been. Hyper calm and Hyper confident. Is not out to make the flashy play, just the simple efficient play. Wish more of our D (Barron - Harris - Kovacecik and XHekaj) were like that. Anybody who has watched him play in college and AHL knew what to expect. I've liked him all along.

He will not look out of place, he is a physically mature and mentally mature kid, 4 years in college.

He looked very good. When he was out there I felt safer than anyone except GUhle, tbh.

He was noticeable almost every time he was on the ice. Noticeable in a good way!!
Not surprisingly, Struble played a much safer game than he did in Laval and showed the mobility, closing speed and strength on his skates that made him a second round draft choice. Though its only one game, Struble clearly displayed that he has what it takes to play and succeed in the NHL. As one poster stated, he’s not going back to the AHL and thus will provide Hughes with options with respect to other defensemen, either currently on the team or otherwise.

This. Harris to me doesn't bring anything special to the game, contrary to Wifi. Still early for decisions though, it was only one game.
There are several defencemen who are ( or should be) in greater peril than Harris..

Like I said our D is such an adventure that I doubt Struble will ever see Laval again. Which I’m not too thrilled about because it looked like he was regaining some confidence offensively but I’m sure he’ll figure it out either way.

Might not be so great for the tank either if he keeps up the reliable play.

Could he make Wifi tradable at some point? For big haul of course.
No team is trading away a player who sells the most merchandise. What too many fans overlook is that this is a business and Abner, a fan favorite, ‘sells’ the team. Imagine the merchandising bonanza when his brother arrives. And that’s happening soon.

This is what happens when a player is developed properly. He didn't look out of place whatsoever and even looked very comfortable.

Agreed that "Abner" is no way getting traded. The Habs were pushed around last night and he was missed.

Like whom?
Agreed, name one

He's going back down once everyone is healthy. He might stay longer than Norlinder/Lindstrom, but Barron was sitting in the stand when everyone was healthy. So there is no place for Stroob with even more LDs around.

Hughes will have to trade more dmen...

Probably Harris will be part of a trade with the Oilers for Monty, the Oilers really want Monty.

Struble was better than Harris, Barron, Matheson and Kova combined. His skating is great and he played a very solid safe game.
